Probably cuz 80% of YT is people thinking they're gonna get YT famous, whereas we put shit up for the love of what we do!

I’ve got a mini ramp already and have been brainstorming on how to start adding in more pieces for a yard park. This video helped a lot! Your skatepark is amazing, and I’m gonna steal a lot of your ideas and transition spots

Check my comment, it should be 5-6 up from this? I've been skating almost 40 yrs, and I have a shitload of ideas, especially for smaller/limited spaces. Feel free to hit me up!

Nice! Only thing I'd do different would be to make the small QP side mirror the bigger side, so you'd have speed to hit the QP. Then, you'd have a mini with a pyramid (idk what they're called when it's just 2 sides lol) in the middle! Either way, I'd be stoked AF!
@toony1998Ай бұрын
I considered doing this as well but liked the idea of being able to learn tricks on the small ramp and and then do them on the bigger one! Both ramps give me plenty of speed (often too much lol)

Congrats on passing 500 Subscribers! 🎉 Thank you for sharing this, I really enjoyed all of your insight/hindsight in building your awesome setup. I wish I would've filmed more of the process, It took me all summer to build a d.i.y. halfpipe and enclose it with a roof in my backyard last year by myself, and just this year I resurfaced it again. That said, I totally related to alot of what you said, or had to do in the construction of your setup. I subscribed, so i'll stay tuned 📺🛹💥💥💥

Sick park dude! Should extend the ramp out on the sides where the coping is too long and add a spine in the middle
@toony1998Ай бұрын
I’ve definitely got some ideas for it. Only issue is, like I said in the video I may have to take it mostly apart and somewhat start over in around a year or so, so I’m holding off on extending for now

how far do you embed the coping? I am making a mini ramp for my yard and I dont know how much it sticks out
@toony19985 күн бұрын
Since the wood underneath it ends up being 1” thick (2 sheets of 3/8 plywood + 1 sheet of 1/4 skatelite) I took the decking boards I used, since they are 1” thick, and set them on each sides of the coping and adjusted the 2x4s that supported the coping until the two decking boards looked like they were at a good riding surface height. It’s mostly done by eyeballing and feel if that makes sense.
@toony19985 күн бұрын
I’m actually thinking about making a video specifically addressing coping in the next couple weeks! I’ve got a few other helpful tips to get it sitting perfect
