Probably the best Ryan’s kzbin.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans on building a shed is hardly ever found. And Ryan takes the mystery out of different types of foundation options, etc. He even shows how to build a shed with different designs. Very comprehensive, covering different roofing materials, siding, etc.

when you really get down to it, there is a TON of work that goes into this sort of building, it's really only when you see how many people you need on site that you start to understand where all themoney goes for a top notch job like this

The tightness of this building's wall assembly is one of the most important aspects of building a long lasting house, in my opinion. If the envelope is sealed up tight like this the building will require far less maintenance over time and will last much longer overall and that's what every home owner wants. This attention to detail elevates top tier builders above the rest. I'm not a builder, but I do plan to be a customer when I build my dream home after I retire and I will seek out a builder of this caliber. Nice work!

I replaced the brick on the front of my garage with Versetta Stone a year ago. It's so easy to install and does look great. I'm really liking it on this project and you're right about the corners, once it's installed you won't notice it unless you're up real close and really look for it. I also really like the WeatherLogic. I may have to hire you in a few years when we decide where we're going to build our final "retirement" home. Keep the great videos coming.

I like your channel and especially how you handle the metal siding. I dont know about the radiant floor heating. You may look into it. The tightness of the tubes is a bit close at places but what worries me most is the thickness of the insulation under the tubes. It is supposed to be 300mm or close to a foot, and that is not for insulating against the ground, it is to insulate the floor heating not going in the ground instead of the house as well as pulling up moisture and radon. Cant see really how many layers of that insulation that was laid down. Cheers and thank you for a good channel.
@andersandersen2322 жыл бұрын
Its only in europe (or sweden) you putt 300mm insulation under a slab. In usa 🇺🇸 its ”enugh” with 2” 😀

Have you ever thought about doing a video with just voice over.. You could show footage of your older builds and just give a commentary of what is being done & why.. Some people may not like it, but those who (like me) love the detail, it can show/explain to some the why something is done.. The more I watch your videos I have been leaning more and more to thinking that style could be the easiest way to build, residential homes that are far stronger then standard stick frame.. I have been retired for at least 20 years. I built hundreds of homes in my 40 + years as a builder.. In my day, we did not have the toy's you all take for granted, very few power tools and no air at all... Loved it... Keep sharing..

I’ve been helping my brother wire up a steel building for a gentleman at church and the guy said the price of the steel frame has literally doubled in price since he first ordered it. The attention to detail is phenomenal. How do you buy all of your material? Is it supplied mostly by one distributor/Lumber yard? I am an Outside Sale Rep for a Lumber yard in the Midwest, I visit jobs like yours regularly. You should do a video on distributor relationships and such, I think it is key to keeping a job like the size of this one you are working on now running smooth. Keep up the good work!

The only thing I would have done differently, I would have taped the bottom edge of that Weathertech sheathing along the bottom edge and up each side front and back with that 4” tape. Even that weathertech will wick up moister on that exploded edge against that concrete curb. I also would have liquid flashed it to the concrete and dropped my Versetta stone to hide it. If you were local to my area, I’d be signing a contract with you for my build. Nice work.

I think the best way for them to make a corner is to have dedicated corner trim pieces that match the top cap and intentionally sticks out just a little bit. Until then I think the staggered corners are the best bet, they’re not bad

The work these guys do is amazing. Attention to detail is second to none. Versetta stone really gives you a nice very look. It is hard for me to get a good perspective of scale on a screen. I wonder if the wainscoting height is adjusted based on the wall height? Would there be a extra row or two if doing a 20' wall vs a 14' wall? Or doesn't that matter that much?

Stone corners? You are probably the only one who will notice it or at least be fixated on it and that is because you installed it! They will disappear once the grass grows and the rest of the exterior finish is installed. If it is any consolation the form panel lines and small bits of honeycombing on the foundation are more visible:-)

@mwww25892 жыл бұрын
Where did you get versetta starter strips. We haven't seen any in a few months now. We also can't get anymore stone until after the 1st of the year. You run into any issues with stone availability yet? Also the black 26 gauge metal. I heard it was the paint that they couldn't get not the metal. Black is hard to get in all construction metals now. 5 inch gutter probably being the worst.

I would love to see a quick "how to" video on the process you would take if this structure sat on a partial basement (over the living quarters). I'm hung up on how the floor joist for the first floor would be installed on the basement with the post frame and 630T brackets. Would you install a sill plate on the entire top wall and then attach your brackets on top of the sill plate? Only sill plate between the columns? Thoughts?
@mrs.93152 жыл бұрын
Loving this build! It is definitely giving me a lot of ideas for our own. One question, in the areas where the piping for the radiant heating kind of converges, or gets really close together, does that make a spot that is warmer than the rest of the floor?
