With Heavy modular frames now done, we can focus on trains and computers which are you most excited to see next?

Computers are always my favorite milestone for some reason. Maybe it's because it's the first major item you make after oil production is unlocked which always feels like it elevates the game to a new level.

I love how your temporary builds are still fully designed buildings. 😂

Lol yeah I love how does his little 'oh ! Oh this oh this is something I just put together last minute. It's just a temp'. What the hell?! That's a week build for me, thinking what the hell am I doing!'

@@JohnoamondoYes, that’s a “week”for me as well… as in like 168 hours.

Then there are my static builds, like a 1440 Steelingot Factory which looks like a misdesigned, boney campus of Refineries and Foundries

Ever since I first saw, how you did your logistics floors. I’ve completely changed the way I lay out my factories. I really love the way that it looks. But I quickly realized with the way that I tend to lay out my spaghetti I needed way more space than I would think I would need. I always try to make sure that my logistics floor is at least three mergers high. This tends to keep me pretty safe for the most part. Just thought I would share.

Your temp factories look better than my main factory.

Yeah, I felt a little slighted. (Me being proud of the efficient way I placed all my bldgs and logistics and maximized power and production in the area…) 😃 TotalXclipse: “Look, I know this looks like garbage… it’s just temporary, folks.” (Me suddenly noticing my basic foundation grid with trees growing through it) 😕

How do you have such a very specific foundation laid out before putting down any equipment? Are you working out your layout in advance in CAD or something??
@NidasRichmount

You should have turned the conveyor lifts taking down resources to your assemblers, so you can see the parts coming down instead of facing inwards! Also, you don't need power to the awesome sink to get the tickets. The more you know

oh yeah that looks nice, i wish i had the patience to design my buildings, i always make a box with the 100% factory and mean to go back to make them look nice after..... but i prefer working with the factory than the buildings lol

On those tight logistics floors I find to make things a bit more organized if a bent is going north/south it's layed on the ground and going east/west it's off the ceiling (or whatever direction you find best) so if a belt turn north lay it on the floor for however long that section is and ect but typically I build my logistics floors atleast 12m high

I had an idea about a build and wanted to see if anyone had tried it or what thoughts everyone would have. What would happen if each resource node/miner had its own small smelter building so that an actual factory would only have ingots coming into it? So, for example, a normal node with a Mk 2 miner woud have a building with 4 smelters in it, and all the ingots go on a single Mk 2 belt to a remote factory lcation. It seems like it would simplify the factory, and it wouldn't be that hard to build and power a building with 4 smelters and splitter/mergers. Thoughts?
@borislav5928
@borislav5928 Жыл бұрын
Make sure to have the space to extend that smelting area (maybe have the possibility of adding an upper floor) because you might want to overclock those nodes at some point and also you unlock better miners.
@mkaverage1791
@mkaverage1791 Жыл бұрын
@Boris Lav that's true. I think it would be pretty simple to extend the building horizontally or add another floor as you said because it's nothing but smelters.

@@mkaverage1791 Also, ich there is water nearby you might want to wash your ores to get more out of them, if you already have the alternate recipes.

I'm a little confused about how you fixed the z-fighting. Do certain foundation types just not have that issue?
