When pulling ground rods, give them a couple of taps down with a maul first. It breaks the bond between the soil and the rod and they pull much easier.

Using a pipe wrench with straight jaws also makes a good handle from pulling straight up after tapping post down a few inches to loosen.

And use a bucket under that t post for better leverage when using one to pull the grounding rod out.

My clay dried and couldnt get my rods out by hand. A short piece of chain slid one link over the rod and pulled it easily. Love those littke chain pieces.

Yep, we just got a couple pigs a few days ago and were working on the fence like that. Mine are small and in fence training now. The bigger area is coming in a few weeks. I love the rebar posts, they are so much easier to use for electric.

I also just bought some Lock Jawz insulators this summer. We'll be moving my cows to our new place in two weeks, I got the fence all up and running now. The insulators are very easy to use and quite secure. I am definitely curious to see how long they hold up. Keep up the good work, you guys are definitely an inspiration to myself and many others!

My dad once built a pig pen in our woods with electric fence. When it came time to move them out, he had to catch each pig and lift it over the line where the electric fence had been. No way those piggies were interested in getting zapped again!

Nicely done! Couple observations, for what they’re worth. Those older wire t-post ties are actually reusable- just unwrap. We do that always. Easier if you don’t over wrap the first time. Might have to do some creative re-forming with pliers. That said, I like those spring steel types. Much easier and don’t need tools to install and remove. The plastic t-post clips are well designed. This is the first I’ve seen of those. On your post driver ... everyone finds their most efficient method, but I let the downward movement be mostly by gravity. You use it like a hammer, exerting force to lift and also to drop. That wears me out fast. 😏 Your pooch really wanted to help. I understand some breeds are much happier if they can work. Maybe a small pack for carrying a water jug? I dunno, just a thought.

The T posts make great ground rods. If you are using them, you don't need ground rods.

That spool to spool "simple connection" will cause RFI OR Radio Frequency Interference, that may cause tv (even sat & cable) & other communications devices for you & even your neighbors

Those hog panels are 34 inch not 24 but, you can step over them. Other thing I noticed was you said the bottom wire would be 6 inches high pigs will Root and will potentially push enough dirt up to the lower wire and it will ground it out pigs are smart Remember ARNOLD from the Green Acres Television show My dad bought some feeders and turned them out in the roasting ear patch when I was 5 or 6 years old and the first thing they did was ground out the electric fence

for many years i only use one wire, even with the boar, you need a wood pellet gate that never has power on it, to move them out when you need to, dropping a hot wire to movethem can take weeks even with feed to get them to cross, have the time my charger is off, your 3 inch high wire will bea problem because the pigs will push up a huge dirt pile all a long the fence line, shorting out your fence every day, as the build that edge hill

Been building fences for years the only problem with dementia letters is if you get a break your whole line is down and as far as your connection a little bit of water gets in there and it'll short it out yes it'll still have a little juice but with pigs trust me you don't want anything like that you want to take that 12 inches of wire and use it
