A Return of the Jedi robed Luke surrounded by Jawas, or Storm Troopers assaulting it during a New Hope would be a great scene too. Another video where you add those little lights Boylei and others use for blaster shots would be awesome. Nifty project! Some thoughts: 1. If you want the corridor to have more depth, you can use a forty-five degree, front-face mirror at the back of the entrance with a corridor that runs parallel to the front. 2. While it might not work well for this particular model, an 'infinite mirror' makes for *great* long corridors. By ever so slightly angling the front and backfaces, it will appear to slightly curve around a 'corner'. 3. 'Black 2.0' by Stuart Semple is *fantastic* for making cracks/holes/etc. look *FAR* deeper than they actually are. 4. The diffuser sheets from the back of dead LCD displays offer completely uniform light projection when lit from the edge, which is perfect for simulating lighting panels/etc. 5. You can simulate the parallel light rays of true sunlight with a strong point-source and a Fresnel lens. Cheers!

@KeithOlson3 ай бұрын
@@CraftyPadawan-gh2ou Always glad to help. I first came across the angled mirror idea used with a model railroad setup, where the backs of buildings/etc. were painted differently, so the reflection looked like different buildings/etc. Angled mirrors can also be used recursively. For example, each window of a building can have an angled mirror so that it reflects the room which is against the outer wall. Also, look up 'Pepper's Ghost' for more ideas using mirrors. Finally, mechanical hard drive platters work well enough as front-surface mirrors that they are often used in laser projects. You can cut the aluminum with regular woodworking tools, but I suggest taping the surface until the last second to avoid scratches. Cheers!
