I’ve been so in love with Japanese car culture since I was 17 and was barely able to own a vehicle. Many years later after many Hondas, 370z, s2000 and what not I’ve fallen out of love. I recently discovered bobbers and rode one thus reigniting my love for these mechanical art pieces we use to roam around from place to place. I found this channel and you’ve inspired me to build my own using a shadow platform. Salute amigo.

Last week I pulled my dad's old 2003 Vulcan, after a couple days recharge I got it started. I had taken the seat off and started to move it around in the garage and realized I liked the low seat. I was instantly inspired! I knew I wanted to transform it into a bobber. Today I landed on your channel young man, and I this is the video that inspired me even more. Good for you and your friends, keep doing what you love. I was a boilermaker welder for 17 years and owned a gym the last 7 years on and off until I finally found a great location, following my dream. But I never stopped tinkering, so between my GMC, and now an old 98 Land Rover Disco I just bought, the bike is going to be a full strip, and just waiting on my new mig/tig/stick welder. Thank you for putting out great content, you now have an old welder/strength and conditioning coach following you! Don't stop brother, keep that content comin!

Never been a fan of Sissy bars but the last couple of years I've really been getting into them. They can be awesome customized and it gives you a place to put your Taillights, Rear turn signals and license plate and it gives you a natural 2nd mounting point for your rear fender. I just started on a 2010 250 Rebel for my daughters first bike and I'm going to make a sissy bar for it. Were doing the bike in a retro 1970's vibe, White paint with Brown, Orange and Yellow stripes with a VHT Burnt Copper frame and all the chrome will be painted Brunt Copper as well with the engine and exhaust painted Burnt Copper as well. The brown paint on the engine is a test run for a build I have in mind. I'm testing the stove paint to see if it works because my next build after that is going to be a complete retro bike painted white with an Avocado Green engine, Nothing says 1970's throw back like an Avocado green stove and refridgerator.

One person commented that this type of build with take him two years. That's Awesome! Take your time and do something unique. So many of these builds are cookie cutter hard tails. Why??? Well, it's too hard for most to figure out how the keep the shock and get the correct clearance for the rear tire. I kept mine a soft tail and fabricated a seat pan/rear fender from scratch. Very time consuming to use fiberglass and make a mold. But, my bike is one you want to ride and turns heads everywhere I go. I encourage everyone to take your time and make something unique.
