A small artists brush to put that goop on mate ,just a suggestion it only needs a very little layer

Nice to see the old engine again - I take it you know the draw bolt for adjusting the primary chain is on the wrong side - it should be on the kick start side.

Thanks. Gearbox still not ready yet - I had a vague recollection the adjuster should be on the other side, but, it felt more logical to be on the primary drive side. I wonder why it's that way round?

I was shown the old way of using a small ball hammer to tap round gasket paper on the plate and smaller ball bearing welded on round bar for small holes.! By old engineer !

. You know where I am if needed. I'm with Bonners on the matter of welding, mind. I don't do it except in extremis.

Didn't like that hammer handle , anyway. Is Ted recovering from his fall in the shock absorber episode?

Haha, yes I probably should treat the hammer to a new handle. Ted's having a little rest.

I too have split a few hammer handles, lucky my friend saved my tools by giving me a raw hide hammer for this job lol !
