Yep, it's a new PC, Lenovo made PC that cost 500+ euros with no expansions capabilities or very minimal, and all other parts costs 450 euros, :/ on sale, already unpacked, but still better than getting some all in one pc

I have the exact same 4060 as you and it's one of the best bang for buck GPU's. I paid £299 for mine and it runs all my games at 1440p medium and 1080p high/ultra. Great video. Thanks.

That’s very frustrating that there is no PCIe slot. It’s the first time I see this in a small SFF. You should then put the cheapest processor compatible, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD and sell it as is.

Good job there! Given how proprietary the office PC was, going for a new MB/case/PSU and adding a GPU was definitely the best thing to do there. You can still use that office PC with weaker components if you find compatible items to install. Single channel memory will limit performance in games, but 16GB is certainly doable for most games out there. The owner will be very happy with what they have received, and of course there is upgrade potential too.

me too but makes no sense: lowprofile card are expensive! also, motherboard had be changed one way or another. the modding inside the case would had to be mad hard to be able to install a mini-itx mobo. powersupple compatibility? nah, Im sure that was the best way to expend correctly the money. Yes, the first pc looks beautifull but, the client needed something else ... so, it is what it is.

Actually, yes, but about Lenovo, these Lenovo are not cheap and you don't get hardware for the price you paid for. For about 450 euros I got all other parts... And this Lenovo is about 500+ euros. No slot for GPU or other hardware...

For the graphics card, I would have gone with the less expensive ASRock Phantom Gaming 16GB Arc A770. It has a 256-bit memory bus vs 128-bit on the RTX 4060.

This was an interesting idea. Now you should get the old parts from the office pc and see if you can make a server, streaming pc, home pc, etc. You can also try to max it out and see how well it does in gaming.

Hmmm.... salvaged the CPU, RAM and M.2 SSD from the original PC. The lack of PCIe slot in the original motherboard is awful - Lenovo cutting costs so much as to make some of their hardware near-useless for upgrades.

i think you should put a decent cpu in the lenovo pc for it to be a nice pc so that it doesn't go to e waste. also some nice ram and ssd for it also, did a similar thing but its with an xps 8910 to give it better cooling and more airflow. i plan on throwing in an i5 and give it to someone. the cpu it had though, was an i7-6700k.

Please do not put the ram in the near slot. Manuals will tell you which slot is the correct one, but the usual location is the ram slot which is further most away from the CPU socket.

I gotta be honest, Andrew. This video was very misleading. I had the impression that you were gonna convert this Lenovo office PC into somewhat of a gaming PC but all you essentially did was harvest its CPU, SSD and RAM stick and then put them into an entirely new PC with and a new power supply, fans, a whole new case and even a new motherboard. Very disappointed with this one.

😔 terrible choice for the gpu. That 8gb 4060 is one of the worst gpus you can buy at its msrp. It is better to buy a second hand 6800xt or 6900xt, since not even RTX is worth on thay piece of trash.

Actually I don't like most of the newer hardware, mostly the hardware is made very poorly I think kinderegg use better plastic. But for this build the budget was max 450 euros. So the choice was tight as well :D
