Hey Adalia This was a great look into Corinne's journey. Just a suggestion on a business card. I use digital business cards "Hi Hello" for my Sisterlocks business. They have several levels including a free version.

Regards to ppl looking for a skill set to become an entrepreneur in Mexico, you’ve got me thinking…. I love ❤️ Zumba and dancing. Surely there’s a need for fitness classes. Another idea: I am big on healthy keto to reverse diseases. I’ve tried it on myself, and Ive discontinued my humalog insulin. I’m taking metformin still, working on eliminating that. Perhaps giving health education, teaching ppl to eat healthier, monitor their progress, perhaps network with a homeopathic dr.? Hey, I’m just brainstorming now that Corrine has got me thinking. Right now I work online as a medical and dental biller. I can work remotely from Mexico if I’d like to. But Corrine has taken it to the next level, thinking outside of the box. Awesome!! 👏

I feel Mexico and the USA should speak both languages from pre school. I have been coming to Mexico, mainly Acapulco, and Queretaro . I have been speaking Spanish, since age 14 as a second language, and I have added 6 other languages. Arabic. Bahasa Indonesia, Polish, German, Russian, and French.

Being that I am pretty deep in the Black Latin cultures from different countries, Black Latinos across the board have a lot of static with non Black Mexicans. I know that she's treated "better" is because she's a native English speaker.

@Picky Girl Travels the World My Ebony Queen, what is your history with my country with Mexico/Mexicans in your native country? What made you decide to move and open up a business in Mexico? Was it your idea to visit and move to Mexico or was it a friend's suggestion or did that happen in some other way? May I please know what is your earliest memory and history with my country of Mexico, with Mexicans and with Mexican culture as far back as you can possibly remember as a child or teenager? In other words how did first learn about Mexico? Thank you!!!!

Wow, I see now what Corrine means about the Mexican culture being so unpunctual and unreliable! My husband is from Mexico City. We’ve lived in Texas for over 45 yrs. Soon to retire to Mexico. He’s very street wise and demanding (when ppl are inpunctual & unreliable) & gets in their face. I’m more empathetic and keep him “restrained” per se. His sisters (in Mexico) are just as demanding as he is and any work done for them requires them to keep tabs on the services being requested, withholding money from the service until all the services have been completed as promised. It doesn’t carry much weight to put a bad review on them.

You are right. It's harder to be that way with language barriers. Also, I didn't mention in the video, but I also try to be cognizant of how I treat people because of the growing frustrations with foreigners. I'd hate to be that person that "proves them right" by acting too strong (even if it is warranted, such as in the instances you described and Adalia and I discussed). In the meantime, I try to lean towards being polite despite the frustrations. And actually, Google reviewing is starting to become a thing here, but it's def not at the same level as in the US. :)

Did she need a lawyer to help secure the lease and set up the business ?
@skinbyCorrinne4 ай бұрын
I did not have an attorney for the lease but the landlord did. In Mexico, to lease a property, it is often required that you have a fiador (basically their version of a co-signer). For foreigners, this can often be difficult to obtain and so a landlord will require additional payment and the signing of a policy for their own security. The attorney my landlord brought helped to explain the stipulations of the policy and additional paperwork I needed to sign. Setting up a business basically requires registering with SAT to obtain a tax number. An accountant will do this for you. So in sum, no lawyers needed, only an accountant. I hope this helps.👍

With Mexico still being somewhat of a poor country is it worth opening a business here? Are Black Americans making money from Mexicans and foreigners here in any significant numbers?
