Pretty simple this is. . . .He was always gonna be changing his window for a patio or french doors. You can tell because most of the window was taken out, except for the head (To keep the lintel / brickwork from upsetting).

Reminds me of an old guy I know who built a plane in his four-car garage one winter. One problem - it was a four-door four-car garage. He had to take it apart to get it out, then sold it in bits!

@americantorino thermostats stay closed and circulate engine coolant within the block itself, this is in case the weather temperature outside the engine is much colder than optimal running temperature of the engine. when its hotter the thermostat opens and flows coolant through the radiator. i bet there is still more work to be done when they filmed this.

there are numerous easier and cheaper ways to get it out..

If you do that, you'd have to support everything, install a load bearing beam first, take the supports away... There is already a beam above that window and the window is wide enough, so chucking out that old single pane glass window and the bricks underneath it is a lot faster and easier. It's also a good excuse to do some remodelling with a nice double/sliding windowed door, or just leave it open and build an extension with lots of glass.

@enigmaPL Yes there are engines,that can take on a v8 and vice versa,but V8 is usually the top choice for drag racing,which was the thing,that this particular car was built for.

Old V8, old because it's carburetor not fuel injection, sounds nice though, raw. Ridiculous way of getting it out though, should have just disassembled it.

Alright, wasn't sure if you knew the different fuel... delivery types, anyway, no idea about the cubic capacity. I think V8's start at about 2/2.5L. Just wondering why you want to know the size?
