It's crazy how in all of these style videos the guys have to go way ahead and set cameras, then go back, walk way past them, then come back and get them. That's dedication to the realism!

You know this is entertaining but they do a lot of hard work and use their imagination to come up with these shelters. And they can’t control the weather so they have to work with that too. Great job most of us couldn’t do this that’s why it’s exciting to see what is coming on these outings.

Your ,"cover" wouldn't have been my design. You should learn the bowline , and clove hitch knots, if you really want to tighten up triple wrap the clove hitch. Your tarp does not stop the wind enough, sorry even to have a larger on to wrap the sides back under into your sleeping area. Being on the ground , yes finding a level spot is harder, but to have had a larger fire which would have kept you warm at night. Would be good. Lars of "Survival Russia" show's say a 4 log X6 ft long with a log across for then to push the logs into the fire at night to keep warm Great idea. .Being warm is wonderful when it is cold. cheers shall see what your next one is like keep warm.

This guy gets much more criticism than other channels, and I think I know the reason, but I'll keep it to myself for now... Anyway, the guy is out there, working, learning, trying, doing cool things, having fun, while the usual keyboard warriors eat frozen pizzas in front of Netflix.
