Good evening Peter, I'm Frank from The Netherlands. When I look at the history of hunting I see a lot rifles with a wood frame. This to me feels elegant, original, desired working tool. I like your hinting video's and looking at technical specifications of the rifles you shoot with. It does feel like a bit of Terminator (movie), skeleton frame. All function, not about how it looks. How do you look at the difference of these rifles? Good functions to me is only one part of enjoying shooting. I do enjoy that part, but my mind is looking for more than that.

Retumbo - Large Rifle primers.. how hard could it be? You're likely to import the barrel, action, trigger and stock and be sitting on a completed rifle meanwhile your reloading components are STILL on a backorder list with no ETA. Wish PROOF would make 26 inch barrels for some of these powder burning magnums, 24 still leaves a lot on the table but nowhere near as bad as a 20-22 inch. Work up a mock load on GRT and note propellant burnt & FPS between the barrel lengths.. Got a chuckle from the fact that even with all of the MDT components and HNT chassis they still couldn't sell you on the $350 scope rings 🤣 Thanks for the video!

@Teolulz4 ай бұрын
@@markoeberhardt3132 fragment as in fall apart? and why would it only do that and close range but not longer range?
@markoeberhardt31324 ай бұрын
@@Teolulz Yes bergers are designed to penetrate a few inches, then fragment, which is super controversial actually. Fragmenting bullets have been around a while, from Self Defense ammo to Varmint ammo. Also in copper and in lead projectiles. They hold together better at long range because they are hitting at Lower FPS and with Lower energy… But basically because they do this, they expand better at further distances than bullets that have a tougher construction, which has pros and cons.

@vettepilot4274 ай бұрын
@@ryanswanson1150 BTW, your suppressor really doesn't help with recoil, so you're not cheating. It does create a delayed impulse, but you still get most of the energy to your shoulder compared to a brake.
@vettepilot4274 ай бұрын
Sorry, my entire response didn't post. There's a significant difference in recoil between the 7 PRC and the 300 PRC. The 7 PRC is the "happy medium" in the PRC line and you did well choosing it for an ultralight rifle.
@ryanswanson11504 ай бұрын
@@vettepilot427 well my omega 300 has a break on the end, so it does reduce recoil. Haven’t shot the 300 prc, so I’m sure theres quite a bit more pop. Either way, If you’re hunting with a lightweight rifle, hopefully you only need one shot! :)
