The cabin build continues! In Part 2 watch as Eivin hands over the reins to Tom, Catkin, and their team who work together to set up the walls of the daylight basement and prepare for the big concrete pour. Along the way, they overcome obstacles and adapt to nature's unexpected challenges, showing the true spirit of homesteading. See how the Kilcher family and friends combine skills, teamwork, and determination to bring this dream cabin to life-one step closer to completion!

The vertical black ribs are for strength, hold the rebar, AND they are also your wall 'studs'. You screw the interior wood wall to that. It is also very useful to screw wood braces on to prevent a blowout or bulging. The inventor was indeed a genius.

The "twisty thingy" tool we called a "pig tail" in the 70's. I think a lot call it a "tie twister" these days because the little wires with eyes on each end are called wire ties. Wish they would have had these ICF back when I was working in construction. Tip: when you hook the pig tail into the tie, pull back toward yourself and hold a little pressure as you twist it. The pig tail stays engaged better that way.

I really hope that guy didn’t didn’t take all summer to put the nadura together and charge him. We can set up and pour a 8foot Nudura in 3 days with 3 guys and Nudura has there own staging so you don’t have to waste wood it screws right to it with turnbuckles to straighten the walls.
