Any vacuum pump will be fine. You just need to have something that controls it. So that it turns off at a certain pressure. Watch my video kzbin.info/www/bejne/foqudq1rltCpZsU where I explain my system.

I never knew there was epoxy that cures in low temperatures! Do you still have to apply in falling temperatures? Can you send a link ?

Yeah it works great in The Netherlands. Heating up my non insulated drafty shed takes a lot of energie. What do you mean with falling temperatures?

@@Dzjiefoils when using normal epoxy it’s best to start your glassing after the hottest part of the day , otherwise you’ll get delimitation. I think vac bagging might prevent this but I just do a hand lamination for my wing boards.

Hey, Do you have a rough estimate of how much time it takes to make a surffoil for someone with shaping experience like you ? And for a biginner how much man hours could it take ? I'm interested in trying to make one myself but wondering if it's worth it, would love to ride something I built but don't want to risk messing it up haha

Hi!! It takes me around 30 to 40 hours or something to make a board. Sometimes a little more, depending on the details and shape etc. The problem is that you cant work all hours in one go because you have to wait for the epoxy to cure before sanding it.
