I came across you guys about three days ago and have binge watched your videos. They're so well done. I watched your most recent videos first and now going through the build. Having seen what you're up to now, it's great to go back and see how Sophia started life.

Do love the idea of the fixed bed, nothing worse than trying to make it repeatedly.. like the layout, gotta day guys, it’s an impressive build! 👍

Just watched the first 8 or 9 videos. You guys are doing a great job. I know how hard it is. I have converted a VW t5. That is now for sale, I’m moving up to a VW crafter. Keep the vids coming. Well done.
@OverlandingSophia5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul, I've had VWs in the past and they are great vans, best of luck converting the crafter!

Hi, your videos are super helpful! How come you used pocket holes for the bedframe joinery and normal screws for the kitchen cupboards?
@OverlandingSophia5 жыл бұрын
We used pocket holes for building the frame of both the bed and kitchen. We don't need to use them for the kitchen cupboards themselves 👍

Loving the build. We are just starting on our 2nd van with a fixed bed this time. What height , width have you done you bed and also your seating? Can't wait to see the finished result.

How old was your van when you bought it? Also mileage and condition. I am a bit confused and don't know how to find the right one

@@OverlandingSophia I'm getting close but I keep watching a few a couple of times because they're so good. I'm catching all the back stories, like when River was a pup, and the anguish you went thru deciding to adopt Scout, and the tattoos you got, and the nose piercing, but the best is watching Ben figure out shit .. he's always positive. and makes it happen. Watching Ben all covered in dirt trying to figure out what's wrong with Sophie's brakes when we first met is how he always is in the videos. He's like my Michael (son), always able to build and fix anything. The world needs more Ben's and Michael's .. I have so many channels I love but you and Ben are now my favorite. Thank you for making a 72 yr old man a very happy guy ❤

Got to ask this, but where has Ben lived? His accent seems familar ? I won't say where I think he's from case I'm seriously wrong.... interesting to know where????

Your work on this is outstanding but please when you’ve finished take it to a weighbridge and find out how much over weight you are
@OverlandingSophia5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking (and the kind words), but I don't think we'll be overweight by the end. We had her weighed a couple of weeks ago and we still have plenty to play with.
@roachy805 жыл бұрын
In that case keep up the good work, but watch the weight!!
@OverlandingSophia5 жыл бұрын
@@roachy80 Hey, curious as to why you think we'd be overweight?
