I build my 30X72 in 1995, tarp was 12 year guaranteed and lasted 20 years. I use it for calving in February up here in Manitoba Canada when it is cold out and it's always way warmer inside. I put in flap doors on both ends to let the condensation out in the mornings and it works awesome.

Business is looking good. Always good to have an alternate income. As for the apple trees, they say “The best time to plant a tree is last year”, but you have to start some where. I planted a dozen fruit trees a year ago here in SW Oklahoma and at 70 years old I expect to see them producing in 3-5 years.

The intro was the best yet, the outro into the video is getting smoother! I like the overview drone shots during the video. I live in Indiana so stopping by will be hard. But this is awesome what you are doing!

Really interesting. Glad to see you found a company that has everything American made. Loved the overhead video of the patch, be be neet to have a overhead picture framed of the different patterns you make of the maze.

I have the photos, but not framed yet. I think we need to do sweaters of that years maze design. I’ll probably start framing the mazes year 3

Possible overkill in construction? I think your build is smart. I've never heard anyone regret building something too strong or too safe. Great video. Bought a farm with a hoop barn, I put 6" of dirt against the base and dug a trench for drainage to get as much water away from my posts as possible (it also kept water from draining through my barn). (I know, everybody's an expert). Take care.

Hi guys. Just watched a couple of YT channels previewing what's new at the farm progress show. Elmer's has a new grain cart that holds 3000 bushels and Massey is debuting the new S9425.

Filling those holes with concrete will lead to the posts rotting off sooner. Concrete is porous and allows water in, correct way is to pour a concrete footing and backfill with gravel or other material and compact. If you wanted to do concrete should have filled entire hole and gone with the wet set brackets.
@ProtonOne114 ай бұрын
Yeah, considering the hoops and fabric have a 20 year warranty. building a foundation that does not rot away quicker would kinda make sense. All the rain from t he roof will come down right where the posts are standing, so they will see quite a bit of water when it rains. The pressure treated beams hold up well for some time, but they are still wood. I would probably have bought some square reinforcment cages and attached a beam shoe to it, so the wood could stand on that shoe and stay a few inches above the ground level.

Been thinking about putting up a hoop for round bale storage. Debating on a hoop or just putting up a pole shed for not much more than the hoops I have priced. Tried looking up that company and couldn’t find a website for them to tell me anything. Do you know if they have one or a link to it?
