yeah, thats what an aussie carpenter is... when there is a problem, the carpenter sorts it, when there is a question, everyone asked the carpenter, when the builder haas a problem, the carpenter sorts it... but hey

I know the plans say 2700mm high ceilings, but using that height, the plasterers are going to have to cut every bottom wall sheet in the house. We do 2735mm walls which allows for 2x 1350 plaster sheets with plenty of play. This seems like a mistake to me…

That's what a ribbon plate is for. Double top plate gets you to 2735mm

its 25mm of play if the ceiling gets sheeted first . and then theres whatevers on the floor (tile, timber carpet etc) so its not much.

Do you ever add on 20mm to stud height to allow for ceiling plaster and flooring??

Another thing to note is to check that everything is working for bricks. Was hoping to see how other people do it.

we mail them together and use an 8,1/4 inch saw which will cut both at once saves double handling

Ive been doing this for over 10 years in the aussie summer. Some morning ill cut 3 tonne worth of studs before 9am then spend the rest of the day nailing them together and have them all stood before going home.

Buy a new hammer man, you spent how much money on all those tool kits to review and you’re still using that one with no handle?
