Drilling a well. It was supposed to be a 3 day job. Easy. Yeah, not so fast. Our three day job turned into an 8 month long ORDEAL- that will probably end up in court. No joke. We have to have water to build though.....see what happened in Episode 2!

I thought collected rain water was enough to supply homes. I guess that was not viable in this location? 5-6 gallons per hour?

God bless yall!! Good luck and Godspeed as we are still building our house in Pedasi. Get your popcorn ready because whatever you think it will cost or how long you believe it will take, triple it. And you will need a good lawyer to sue because some of the builders in Panama are criminals. Other than that, its been a lot of fun. But I know now who in Pedasi you can trust and who you cant. That sounds exactly like what yall are encountering.

How much was the total cost of the well?

Over the life of the build please track the flow rate form the well. It would be interesting to see if you get less water in the dry season. As you progress with your build could you explain permits required, how you got them and how long it took to get them

We did a video on permits for the first episode. We handed that process over to a Panamanian...no interest in tackling that entire chaotic nightmare alone!
