Nice craftsmanship, I'm curious, why did you do all the framework on the roof, only to put waferboard and shingles on it? It looked like you were framing it for a metal roof at first.

Are all those trees up close to your build dead?

This is beautiful but I think I would have more of a chance and succeeding the way you do it with having the Lumber and supplies left for me then what I see with others that actually will cut down a tree. I saw the finished project in the thumbnail of this video I only watched a little bit of it because it was like I was watching you build a house that was already pre-made. Not taking anything out of what you're doing I think it's just wonderful and it's a beautiful place but I'm mesmerized when the people are truly cutting down the trees and making their own hammer out of wood

Pretty cool, I wouldn't call it huge. But nice work. more than I could do.

I really appreciate your attention on the audio for these. It sounds like you have directional and ambient mics running everywhere? Are you running mics into the camera only or syncing multiple mics in post? Thanks for that extra level of detail regardless.

If doing board and batton with the 1.5" spacers, why not fill in between the wood nail strips with 1.5" foam for extra insulation and draft proofing? I also would not have cut the house wrap to the opening, rather cut an X and fold inside, staple each triangle inside the sill for extra protection. You also did a lot of extra work on the roof with the double waterproofing. I would have just put the slats on and installed metal roofing directly on that, no need for the extra sheathing.

Easy maintenance for the pipe in the future, should there is a leak, you don't want to have carbon monoxide inside the cabin. 👌
