Finally I can sleep in a quality bed in the log cabin! The best feeling in the world! This bed is 100% made from natural materials. I didn't want to stop with only making my own bed frame and then just buy a plastic foam mattress and bedding. So I got the pleasure of visiting one of the rare people here in Sweden who still know the craft of handmade mattresses. Sandra makes and sells her own mattresses from Swedish wool! I have enjoyed watching every one of your videos from the very first day of clearing and cutting logs. I have saved your information and I am still going to buy two of your cutting boards. I would love to stay at a place like you have, so I can enjoy those moments of solitude and nature. So I enjoy that part of your life that I can watch and enjoy. It is the first time that I have seen your video go fast forward lol. But I can understand why with the fixing and refixing to fit each part of the bed just right. i live in a small coastal town in the south of the UK, so sadly no pine trees close by, but in the kitchen i have a jar with some pine sap wood, close your eyes and inhale, wonderful smell, and then i had to do the same with some spices for a Christmas smell, but by far my favorite has to be the smell of Cardamom

Erik. I am a retired carpenter and my father was a carpenter also. He had a lot of cordless tools like your auger bit. Now I wood carve and there is nothing like hearing the tool cut the wood instead of the noise of the tool! 😃😃 Still have to have power tools but nice that the old tools don’t just get lost! Beautiful job on the bed. That mattress looks so comfortable! I remember the first tree you cut down for the cabin, it’s been a great journey to this point. Awesome job! 👍👍👍👍

The absolute last thing I would ever do regarding this channel would be to criticize any aspect of the last few years of this man’s life and his dream. But doggone it, I would really love to see front & back porches for sitting & contemplating one’s accomplishments & taking in nature’s symphony, hanging up tools and skis, organizing ones outdoor equipment, maybe (dare I say it?) a mini fridge, a place to dry animal pelts, etc. This gorgeous retreat will need a name soon too. Just NOT Grankvist’s Getaway, that would be terrible! I cannot wait for any and all of it!

The craftsmanship on this channel is incredible, so many of these skills are done by machines nowadays so it’s great to watch skilled craftsmen at work. As someone who has slept on a cotton futon I can say; that mattress is a quality product. The wool will compress somewhat, but a natural mattress like that will give very good support for the whole spine

When I saw the maddress, my back was screaming: GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME!!" 😅 I checked her webshop, and some would might say it's expensive, but no it's not. It's 100% handmade and only with 100% organic materials, no artificial colors, and no chemicals. 👍👍👍 - the only con I can think of, are the risk of moths as those pesky little critters love wool. I would suck to have moth larvaes in your maddress. ☹ p.s. And beautiful bed by the way. It'll last for generations. 😊
