Thanks mate, black is not an easy color to work with and I learned a lot on this kit. I have a knight rider build coming up and I wanted to get the paint on it just right. This was my experiment!

Might have to give this kit a look. I'm not much for FF, but I'm a sucker for old school MOPAR muscle.

Comes with all the parts to make a stock version as well, including non lowered front suspension and stock rims. A decent build that can also be detailed out nicely if desired.

Very nice build. I had to glue some parts due to not connecting, loose and falling off

You did a good job on a very basic kit Spencer! I especially like the hood pin cords👍. I’ll be watching for the next video my friend.
@ScaleAutoGarage4 жыл бұрын
Thanks James, I actually considering making the hood pins from scratch so that they had more of a 3d effect to them but the easier decals won out in the end. haha. Now if this was a show car, I would have scratched the entire pin set up. The cords help to add to the look of the car for sure and it was pretty obvious on the original movie car.
@robs45162 жыл бұрын
Great looking car! Did you have to make any adjustments to get the stance like that? It looks perfect.
@ScaleAutoGarage2 жыл бұрын
The kit comes with 2 different front suspension pieces. This one is the lower one and there is a stock height one as well. Only 1 set for the rear but it works out nicely.

Very nice well done bro nice kit its not on our irish market as always with revelle usa kits if they do it in Germany il get it min it comes as European kit but if that hais another thing ill have to wait and see
@ScaleAutoGarage4 жыл бұрын
I believe in a video by Phaedon's Garage he mentioned that the 71 GTX is on Revell Germany's list of releases for 2021. I would assume it would be the same kit but maybe without the Fast and Furious branding? We will see what happens.

Nice finish! I like those seat belts - I assume they didn't come with the kit!
@ScaleAutoGarage4 жыл бұрын
The seatbelts are from Detail Master, an american company I believe. They do tons of smaller photo etch stuff. This seatbelt set is pretty cool as it is just these common buckles and latches and some of the buckles even have GM or the Mustang logo molded into them. There are 24 sets of belts with the set so one set can do several cars.

What kind of marker or whatever it was that you used to paint the silver accents on the dashboard. It looked like a drill pit of some sort but I'm sure it wasn't. I loled the thin point it had on it to make it easier to paint in the small areas
@ScaleAutoGarage3 жыл бұрын
That was a molotow pen. They come in many sizes and the one I used is the smallest one. Hope that helps.

How did you make the hull shine and what did you rub into it ?
@ScaleAutoGarage2 жыл бұрын
The process for the shine after the clear is several bouts of sanding using various high grades. I start at 3000 grit and go through to 7000, wet sanding the entire time. Afterward I would use the Tamiya polishing compounds, course, fine and then finish. If you really want to go all out Tamiya also offers a finishing wax that helps to keep the shine for a long time. The process is the same for full size cars and you can also use things like automotive polishers but I like my hobby tubes from tamiya myself.

Yet another amazing episode to watch. Did the kit come with the hood pin wire or is that solder? If so what gauge..
@ScaleAutoGarage4 жыл бұрын
I bought a spool of wrapping wire on amazon. The spool has many colors, black, red, yellow, blue, green and brown all on the single spool. It is 30 gauge and when you strip the plastic you get the single malleable wire that I used for the hood pin wires. It is great for plug wires, brake lines, vacuum hoses and more.
Love the car. But hate the wheels and painted bumpers

The product I use is called bare metal foil and can be found here: www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.sunwardhobbies.ca/bare-metal-foil-company/&ved=2ahUKEwj20ua5sObyAhVBA94KHSPaAn8QFnoECCUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3Sl1Js1yDK69Ipzf-kBRFt&cshid=1630794917738 Some also use aluminum plumbers tape but it isn't as thin and doesn't always show details.
