Just because you have a million gadgets doesn’t make you a woodworker. I have plenty of friends with thousands and thousands in tools and fancy gizmos and can’t build worth a crap. It's off putting. "Oh look, I just need $15,000 worth of tools and I'm only 2 minutes in" It's fine for entertainment purposes, it can be enjoyable to watch a pro do their thing, it's the reason things like pro sports exist. But outside of entertainment value, this is useless to anyone who's not a professional.

"Seasonal wood movement" - does it happen to hardwood and small sizes as well?

The smaller the piece, the less movement you will have. But yes, all woods will expand and contract whether hard or soft. The amount they move is species specific and based on environmental conditions.
