Best design statement ever: 'I think I've got it all figured out, here we go.' If every designer/builder didn't run into design/build challenges, nothing of any importance would get made. Proof that simple materials and basic shop tools can create some really great stuff. CNC is nice, but it can be done another way. Very nice piece Shaun. Design, execution and documentation are all top notch.

I have always liked the "pattern" of the edge of BB plywood and this is a fantastic example of using it to great advantage. Beautiful desk very nicely presented. I lived in Riverside for 35 years, now on Vancouver Island, both beautiful but I envy you and the length of your workable outside weather.

Kudos to the effort in cutting the plywood. I've cut down a full sheet into 1" pieces for a glue up and it's pretty tedious work :) . I can't imagine with the curve

Fantastic piece of furniture,I’m glad you did not use a CNC as there is still a high level of skill in using normal wood working machines to there best and your process to your tasks made it look easy,that is true craftsmanship.

Great job on this one - really like what you did with the inlays. I installed those under mount slides on a dresser a made last summer and they took some planning, you made it look all too easy. Nice job, bud.
