In Germany for example it’s normal for a car dealership which also repairs cars for example Volkswagen, BMW or Ford to charge between 180- 220€ per hour (in 2024) and the mechanic would get paid between like 22€- 30€ per hour before taxes and that’s not enough that’s why a lot of mechanics go in the industry and work in shifts to earn a living or just work two jobs just to support their family. why would you rev a 7.3 stroker to even 4k like bruh it don't make sense...... but if you referring to making it as a race engine then there's plenty other better options for it..... and if you want to rev it just because it's 7.3(which is not that good of an engine nowadays) then you gotta spend a lot of money to make it happen and it still will underperform compared to other light diesel blocks and even if you make it happen to rev and be faster than other diesels engine then it's no longer 7.3 powerstroke It would be completely different 7.3

Very nice build. I put together, couldn't call it built, a Dually 5.9 Cummins with custom F1 Cam, 260% flow F1 injectors and Compound twin wastegated s300 and s400 turbos, with an industrial injection 260% unicorn CP3 off a large marine engine with a custom front gear plate, It made +70 psi of intake compressor boost and 90 pounds of turbine boost with ported intake/head/manifold. I had to have a 30 gallon water/meth tank with 4 injectors to keep the intake cool, but it worked great and was a daily driver for 2 years and 30k miles until a piston ring passed out the turbo. In the quarter in 4wd on mud/snows it had a best of 12:81 at 109mph as it still had heavy springs on it as it was a recovering work truck. From 70 to 122mph it could beat most street cars other than a 911 gt2 and only because of the speed. These trucks are FUN and can haul around 5 or 6 people and dogs. I'd love to see the engine dyno on this one! Those pistons are a work of art.

Dave's Auto Center - Full Length Video Idea or series. Could you please do a video where you do a full build to make the engine the most reliable engine ever, or as they say 'bulletproof'. Performance videos are great and we love them, but there are a lot of people that just want their truck to run forever and couldn't care less if they have more HP or torque. TBH, as I get older I would even sacrifice a small amount of HP or torque, knowing that the engine will run reliable for many more years to come. If anyone likes the idea, please Like or Comment on the thread, so Dave's Auto can see it. If it's a dumb idea, you can comment on that too! Thank you all.

Well if you paid attention to his videos before, he said it. DO YOUR MAINTENANCE! I'd say you will have a bulletproof engine if you do your oil change at every other fill up.
@gags7303 ай бұрын
@@Yvaneify There are faults with every engine design, some are way worse than others and doing maintenance does not always mean longevity if there are parts we all know fail. Dave has brought up many of these issues in his videos. There are aftermarket parts that are better, that are stronger, that last longer. I wanted them to take an engine and rebuild it for longevity and not so much performance. Example : What combination of parts are there that would make an engine far superior to OEM. Like pistons, rings, con. rods, injectors, pumps... even parts for emissions controls that cause issues. 'I think you misunderstood my initial comment.

Force all the air into it, give it more fuel to match that air, and it's unstoppable! Question: Are the billet caps not going to react to delta T differently than block? How do bearing surfaces stay aligned given expansion and contraction rates differ?
@coreymacqueen48022 ай бұрын
Just my two cents… there isn’t enough difference to cause an issue.
@salsuginusrex519624 күн бұрын
@shespractical7272 Coefficient of thermal expansion is primarily dependent on alloy composition, not whether the material has been worked (forged, cold rolled, etc.). As long as it's iron of the same phase composition with 2-4% carbon content (and same percentage of silicon), the COE should effectively be the same. There are some exceptions of course...it's not a perfect world.
