21 years ago my son was born and short after he was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, and today we were making plans since he was accepted into medical school at UNC. I’m so proud of him I can’t find the words to say it.

Dave talks of his industry needing respect and attracting good mechanics but car manufactures are making it imposible to enjoy the work due to electronic pollution and bad designs that affect the consumer. we need Dave to testify in congress to bring change to an industry like his to bring change that will help consumers and appeal to young mechanics, we need someone like Dave to bring much needed change!

Wow, what an uplifting video! I’ve watched a bunch of your videos on auto repair and just knew you were the kind of man who would do something like this! This proves it. I hope you were able to get her into a larger vehicle like the one she owns. I can say as a father of an autistic child that large vehicles are the difference between a good day and a bad day. The anxiety relief a large vehicle provides is priceless.

This means a lot. I know exactly how this is. My 5 year old daughter who was born at 21 months was in the hospital 3hrs away for 2years straight not knowing if she was going to make it or not. I just got out of the army and the situation with my daughter wouldn't allow me or the wife to work. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!!

For everything bad that happens there will be something positive. I was laid off from a job of 10 years, after unemployment I decided to drive a taxi cab. Was able to work and take care of my dying mother who passed away in 2016. Then in 2017 applied to become a Transit Bus Driver where I have been driving for 6.5 years.

Thanks for sharing your journey. As a retired motor mechanic I have been down the roads you’ve traveled including being fired from my job and the hand painted sign to letter box drops. I too picked my self up and with the help from my wife we went forward in leaps and bounds. We built a very successful business which provided us well for 50+ years. I'm 77 this month, my name is Dave also. We have similar backgrounds, auto shop 2 years in high school, own business at 18 in a gas station, then dealerships. There is no reason to over sell because when you do things right you have more work than you can handle and all that starts with PROPER diagnosis . keep up the good work

I am an HVAC owner that has fell on hard times and had to restart my business. This video has really helped me reenergize my desire to make my business a success and be able to help those in need. Today everything has become so expensive that many struggle with everyday bills let alone afford to repair or replace their heating system. When I first started this business I wanted to eventually create a non-profit HVAC business that could do just that, but life and challenges I lost sight of that. Dave it is people like you and your friends and family that make America the greatest country in the world! Thank you for helping those in need and being an inspiration to others to share those Christian American values!

It don't hurt to help somebody that needs it. That lady I am sure is grateful. Folks that have the means to do good things should. There are a lot of less fortunate folks out there. The message of keeping trades honest and alive is my absolute favorite. Ive always felt this way since I started doing carpentry as a teen. Ive always felt that being honest with your work, itll always come back to your benefit even if it isnt immediately. Ive been a technician for almost seven years and I love this career but we need more honest folk to be willing to get their hands dirty and not be shady with their craft.
