Yeah you can use it, but the HD60X doesn't pass up to 240 if you're using a PC

@MidnightMan Question re: Using the Wave Link software vs separating channels directly through OBS. Doing it the way you’ve shown in this video has all sound coming through one channel so post editing you can splice different audio sources. Vs Doing this in OBS allows you to do so. Is there an advantage to either option? A combination of both? What do you specifically use? In your most recent set up it appears you don’t use to XLR but you do use wave link software. Anyway if you have time please get back! And congratulations on the new house.

I would just listen directly from the headset connected to the console, and not from the Wave XLR. And use the chat link to pull line out audio from the headset's DAC.

GREAT VIDEO!!! You did a budget video with a mini pc... Can you do a video with a PS5, a good mini pc, but with decent accessories like the Elgato hD60x, Streamlabs, a proper mic, facecam, and headset... So that it works for a beginner streamer/recorder?

It’s partly essential because I couldn’t use the XLR microphone without some sort of interface. I like the Wave XLR because of how easy it is to use and the software

Pretty sure this set up captures party chat audio - but if you want to be able to chat to your teammates or friends you’ll need a dedicated mic plugged into your ps5. If you have an Xbox one mic will handle it all

Why dont u record on 60fps at 4k? I tried my m1 mac air and for some reason it stutters like mad when its 60fps even with 10gbps

4K60 actually works fine for me, I just didn't do it for this particular video (should have in hindsight). 4K 120 stutters like crazy for me on the other hand.. hope that gets better.

you can stream! Even in 4K on platforms like KZbin. Other than that, theres no other purposes a capture card serves outside of pulling your gameplay picture in to be captured.

This is off topic but would you know how to fix capture lag with OBS and PS5? I have the Elgato HD60 S+ and an M3 Pro Macbook. The mac is dead quiet so it's not the hardware, reducing resolution also doesn't help, I think it's the OBS software

Hi there, thanks for this video. I followed your guideline to set up mine, the difference only is, I use OBS. I can see the PS5 HDMI signal in OBS but I cannot pass through the video signal to my 4K TV via Elgato 4K X. So, I try to test my HDMI cable directly connected with my PS5 and 4K TV, it is perfect to see 4K 120hz with HDCP disabled, hence I can confirm my HDMI cable is working fine under this situation. What other settings I am doing wrong with my Elgato 4K X? Why no pass through video signal to my 4K TV? Any hints?

@@TAJ88AMINU I figured it out you plug the usb regularly into your ps5, direct all audio to the mic, then plug a chat link pro to the output port on the DAC, then plug the other end of the chat link pro to the front of the elgato 4K X, then you must use the elgato utility software to change the audio input from digital to analog

Hey MidnightMan, I don't feel like I'm quite yet ready to stream just yet. However, I do want to make gaming content for KZbin. I have the MacBook Pro, I purchased the RODE PodMic and boom using your link, M9 monitor, what are the other necessary components I would need to make quality content? I mostly want to start off with clips and voiceovers. I also notice this mic picks up a lot of background noise, but my Pulse Elite has great noise cancelling.
