Much thanks to Mark no doubt, you were really happy about the engine mounted. Just amazed some your age did this, knowing there are more most likely, but you are the youngest I have seen busy building an aircraft. Well done! Be well.

Hi nick, really great to see you cracking on with the build. Very true what mark says about a clean uncluttered work space, just makes things much easier I find. Great little video keep up the good work.

Great to see Mark from Micro Maintenance make an appearance. Everybody needs somewhere to go for help and support sometimes. Thanks for showing us those trickier moments. Very exciting to see the engine installed. Well done!

Couldn't agree more! Mark is very experienced with Skyrangers and extremely helpful. I learned a lot from him too that day including to break tasks down into little goals.

Fantastic! Each step of the build seems daunting, but mounting the engine is really a milestone. You have to be sure it doesn't decide to fly away from you on take off power. Well done and keep us posted!

Looking good👍😊 Everyone needs, pro help from time to time with a build, no shame in that - a wise move. I've rebuilt motorbikes, classic cars and leant a had with dad's MK1 kitfox build, discipline and determination are key, but knowing when to ask for pro help is equally important. Sometimes it's due to a complex issue, sometimes is down to a pro with specialist tools/equipment that can't be hired and are too expensive to buy for a once in a life time job/use. Sometimes it's just another pair of eyes and sage advice. Keep up the good work 👍😊

Thanks for watching David. I hope the weather isn't causing you issues over there. My brother lives in Sydney and he's said its terrible at the minute with the floods. I am a mixture of proud, impatient, nervous and excited but I guess that all part of it!

@@LetsGoFlying . Yes the weather is awful in Sydney , much worse North of Sydney though . Sydney is forecast to have possible 200mm of rain and gale force winds today . Who said Australia has good weather 😀

Why didn't you debur all those holes . When riveted they will not pull properly giving a problem later with the hole elongating and causing stress cracks
@LetsGoFlying2 жыл бұрын
I did - just because I didn't do it on camera doesn't mean I didn't do it! The fitting you saw on camera was the trial fitting, it all came off again and all holes deburred. Rivets are all in nice and flush too.
