Building a Power Catamaran, James Dewing EXPLAINS MORE!!!

During this visit to Thailand and the boat yard we see the boat fully painted inside and out. We meet a lovely couple from Manilla who are also interested in the building of a Longreach Catamaran. We all meet with James to discuss different aspects of the construction of the boat and have another walk through tour of our Longreach 58.

@@CruisingSunrise I'm currently a sailor, but could see a LR44 in my future. I always thought Malcolm Tennents CS hullform made a lot of sense. I don't like pushing the water like most power boats, prefer to slice through it. I hope he's putting in thrust bearings to keep the noise and vibration down. I prefer a very quiet boat. Thanks for your videos.

@@marklong8608 yes thurst bearing are being used. that also was a request off ours , after all thats the great thing about sailing ,the quiteness. So we have speced 8kg insulation in the engine bays, under water exahust and the best engine mounts we could buy.

Great video, she is coming along! Do you have any electrical in yet? What's your estimated completion date? Remember, we would love to have you guys aboard Sol Searcher if you get the itch!! We are just getting ready to head south from the Whitsundays. It's been such a great trip. Can't wait til we can anchor side by side and have kayak races (ok just kidding about the racing...)

Thanks Dolores, we are just back from Thailand and are over whelmed with stuff to do at the moment. the boat should be finished in january. The electrical is mostly done and all the cabinentry will be done by end next week . the windows go in then. I love a good challange, so your on!

The paint finish is Allgrip. My very good mate from Sailfish marine tells me its the best on the market!.

reading the the 4 page downloaded spec sheet, can you tell me where the 21.65ft of "air draft" is measure from, the top of the hardtop or the electrical components?
