In this tutorial I go over how we went about building a hidden concrete mini ramp in the woods. I go through every step but if I missed something, let me know in the comments and I will get back to you as fast as possible. If you enjoyed this video, please consider liking and subscribing for more content:)
Heres a link that goes over how to cut the sides for the frames of the quarter pipes:
www.xtremeskater.com/ramp-pla...
These dimensions can be modified for any size ramp and I was able to reuse the mold for both ends.
A special thanks to everyone who helped build or fund this ramp! This could not have been done without you!

Wow great job. Pretty much every skaters dream to have a small mini to skate. Skatepark minis are always made too tall

Shitty minis plague America and are the scourge of society!! I say we take back what god has gifted to all men and finally rid not only America but all of Earth from the silent, forever stalking evil that is shitty minis!!

dude that’s awesome! i would’ve wanted it to be a bit bigger, but still. and i like how at the end the guy skating says “do it again” if you guys do build another, it will come out even better.

Good information and inspiration here. I hope many skateboarders will follow the example here. Very cool project. One challenge that might be hard for some people is attaching the anchor rebar to the coping via welding. Welding is the industry standard for this step in concrete skatepark construction.. DIY can solve it without welding. There are several alternatives, but the easiest for me to describe via typing is to drill holes through the coping with a metal drill bit. Large hole for the face of the coping, smaller hole on the concrete side. Run bolts through with the head of the bolt slipping through the big hole on the face, but not the other hole. Snug it up with a nut on the other side. Bolts should be 3" long or preferably longer. Run them every 2 feet or so. The more, the better. That coping won't go anywhere. Cram concrete in that steel pipe coping if you want to make it quiet. Use a broom stick to smush it in there.

How did you guys get the concrete to go together smoothly when you poured at different times, when I tried I had a really hard time getting it smooth between the dried/slab, and the new one I was pouring
@toony1998
@toony1998 2 жыл бұрын
I’d love to see a picture of yours and maybe I could help. Where the new met the old concrete, did the quarter pipe overlap the dried slab or did it but up to the edge of it?

Could I basically do this without the ramps and just pour a concrete pad for flatground this way and to eventually expand on? My problem is I live in a super rural area and have to travel a bit to reach any skatable concrete
@toony1998
@toony1998 Жыл бұрын
You could but in order to do one the size of anything skateable, it would be much cheaper and easier to just hire a concrete company to pour one

Sorry somehow I missed your comment. I think we used around 100 bags of 60lb mix. We just plugged in the dimensions of our ramp into a concrete mix calculator and it gave us a very accurate amount of the bags we needed.

it’s hard to say because a lot of the materials such as rebar, coping, and framing were donated but i bet you could build a similar one for under 600. just an estimate though.
