Thank you for your appreciation. The result is reasonable, is my first model after more than 10 years. The next model, I think, will be a Tamiya Nissan 370 z if I will be prepared for it.

I intend to improve this model a bit. I'm not a fan of the details, they seem a bit too crude and I'm surprised that Revell hasn't improved on this one. I want to carefully drill the windows and put a clear plastic and also cut a hole in the engine front and add some details inside, like spinning blades. I feel it would improve this model a lot. I know it's a small and cheap model, but this is no excuse for Revell. They could have easily made those engines look just a bit more realistic. Also, some better details on the landing gear.
@SmallScaleFun9 ай бұрын
Hey! Sorry for my late response. I was very busy. Yes, you are right, Revell needs to add more details on their plastic models like this even if they are cheap. This Boeing was my first model built after a break of approx 10 years. I bought another kit to improve the engine (they are hilarious) and intend to add a runway to :)

How do you get the decal by the front in the right place? At my model te decal doesn’t fit perfect
@SmallScaleFun4 жыл бұрын
It was very hard, I can tell you for sure. At first, I was thinking that I do something wrong, but the model is not perfect so I do like this - start with the decals from one side (left or right) and go with the decals from the front to the back of the plane. After you finish one side start from the back of the plane for the other side, first prepare all the decals and see how they fit (you can adjust the decals if they are longer) and use Tamiya Mark fit strong but only after you place the decal on definitive position and adjust the decal as better you can in first 30 seconds after you apply Tamiya Mark fit Strong. All the best!

I have this and am wondering what paint u used like what brand and shade of blue grey and white
@SmallScaleFunАй бұрын
Hey! For blue - "Sky Blue", white is "Cool White" or gloss white, and gray is "Royal Light Gray" or XF-80. Blue and White are from Mr Hobby Laquer paints and gray is Tamiya acrylic paint. Also, sky blue from Tamiya x-14, white x-2 if you want just acrylic paints.

I’m not a big fan of Revell kits. Too much flash and the parts don’t fit together very well. But you did the paint and decals well and salvaged the kit.

you are a menace, old revell kits are the ones your probably talking about but the newer ones are amazing. try building the newer one but be careful because a good deal of the old kits get repackaged and bam theyre new kits

But everyone is like using an airbrush! I don't have room for it sadly. But you model came out great!
@SmallScaleFun4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you for your appreciation. I use my kitchen for airbrushing and I get a cheap airbrush, It is an entry-level that costs me around 100 $ (is like training for further models) but I also use, for definitive touch, the brushes supplied with this kit. And for air, I bought a cheap compressor (I use this compressor on my nail stamper) with an air pressure regulator that has a 25 litter air reservoir. You have to be careful when you set the pressure and is working great. (note that a special airbrush compressor will be more useful but when you have a tight budget you improvise)
@GabrielViana-mg3vh4 жыл бұрын
@@SmallScaleFun Thanks for this reply! I see that not all air brushes require a garden and that much. room
@SmallScaleFun4 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielViana-mg3vh Yep, your right. Keep in mind that you need a lot of research before buy or do anything. I use Harder & Steenbeck Ultra 2 in 1 airbrush after a couple of hours of reading to see a proper airbrush for beginners and I'm please about my choice. It is really impressive what a relatively cheap airbrush can do. I intend to upgrade my equipment in time, but for this moment, this airbrush is more than what I need. See you at the next video :)

Does this kit come with the paint and the glue
@SmallScaleFun4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you get a brush, Revell glue, and paints - Aluminium metallic 99, Blue and Gray. The big problem is with Aluminium metallic 99 because the paint clogs the airbrush nozzle, so take care. And a good side is that are water-based.
