Great stand!! You will definitely want to coat the inside of the forge with refractory and I would make something so you can use fire brick to block off the back of the forge and a window for the front to trap as much heat as possible

Thanks for this! I got a devil-forge this week, and have started replicating your build.

That's a heavy duty stand man! Well done :)

make sure you coat the wool in that forge with refractory cement and wear a respirator when around uninsulated wool, its sup super dangourus to breath in the particles from the wool

NJ good to know! I will look into that for sure! Didn’t see anything about that when I bought this forge...

@@MakeEverything Get some ITC 100 to coat the Kaowool with for sure, ITC is expensive but it will dramatically increase the performance of your forge!
@RickWeberSR5 жыл бұрын
ITC 100 is nice, but Satanite is much cheaper and rated for higher heat.

@@MakeEverything it should have came with the refractory that you mix with water and paint on and I'm sure I did see it in the shots where you was unpacking and assembling and I do realise you have probably sorted it out by now

you should put a chain to hold the tank on the base, would not be good if it fell off and hit the regulator on the ground

Wonder how well that pizza brick would hold up as a forge floor? Taking all the heat, Flix, and scale 🤔

Looks good. I believe you, but it still seems a bit top heavy to me. Are you going to make a mount for the propane tank?
@dakotamax24 жыл бұрын
The casters make it worse since they pivot and reduce the stance, I'm sure it is stable (enough) when standing still, but rolling laterally I'd be a bit concerned.

👍👍👍👍I like your adjustable tool support way better than how I did mine. But it works lol. Maybe upgrade some day........ Had to go offroad tire with mine. Gotta wheel outside

firebrick top was totally unnecessary. The outside of forges don't get all that hot.
@MakeEverything5 жыл бұрын
Alchemyst this forge actually lets out a lot of residual heat, so much so that I have to put firebrick in between the outside of the forge and the propane line. If I didn’t use the firebrick top I imagine the whole stand would get pretty warm, and I like that the brick stays cool to the touch no matter how long I run it.
