Great content and looking forward to the rest of this series. If you keep up this quality I suspect your viewership will grow relatively quickly.

The number of people interested in entrepreneurship itself is 1% hence the viewership will be less, but as you said the way all the playlists are thoughtfully created, and the way information is shared in a structured way, this channel is a gold mine and should pump up viewership.

I think those that are going at it alone don’t really choose to do so out of trying to be a one person team, but rather, trying to bootstrap while gaining footing and traction in finding consistent revenue. So how do you minimize debt and overhead, while creating a team? Do you jump all in, take out a bunch of loans while trying to find your niche and add to your team with very little direction? It would be great while bootstrapping to have people you can rely on, even part time, to help your vision come to life, but people require payment for their time. And the amount of roles you need for your startup is alot. From marketing, to an accounting/bookkeeper, and a few other necessary roles to make sure the ship doesn’t sink. How do you go about creating a team “Pre-Revenue” or do you simply wait until the money start coming in consistently to do so? Great video by the way!

Thanks for the feedback and input. You bring up one of the central theme's I'll try to address, which is: how do you build a team when you have very limited resources? I've been there and have felt that pain. It's a challenging line to walk. What you do have is equity compensation, but the reality is that not everyone is in a place where they can afford to work for equity alone. On the other hand, there are some people who are in a position where they can work for equity, and the question is - how to find them. Others can afford to get involved part time, but need to keep a day job - which brings additional challenges. More thoughts to come - but thanks for the comment!

Hi Steve, this is great, I have a question please. Can you please prepare a video about stock warrants that startups issue to VCs and downloadable warrants templates (including the warrant that the share price is determined in the next round, but the total dollar amount is known). Thanks a lot.
@Startupsos3 жыл бұрын
It's on my list! Short answer a warrant is a bit like a stock option in that it is the right to purchase a certain number of shares for a given price that is determined either when the warrant is issued or during the next round - but unlike an option, warrants are for investors (not employees, Board members, etc.). A warrant is attractive to an investor because if the stock price rises above the warrant's strike price, then exercising the warrant gets the investor additional stock at a relatively low price. Warrants make an investment a bit more attractive (as do discounts and valuation caps) but, like discounts and valuation caps, they can increase the founders' dilution since investors are buying more stock (at a relatively low price) when they exercise their warrants.

Interested in knowing how to take on investment and give up equity when the founder already has an MVP built and ready to sell (versus a startup that has just an idea)
@Startupsos3 жыл бұрын
A startup with just an idea is always a tough sell for investors. On the other hand - it takes more than an MVP to be "investor ready". I'd suggest you check out the videos "17 steps to close an angel round"(kzbin.info/www/bejne/moGTfIluhseJmMU) and "24 Tips for Startup Funding Success" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6mcZmWQnsumbrM)

Do you need to build a team right after having the idea? Or progress yourself first and then build a team?
@exhaustedcoffee2603 Жыл бұрын
You need to build off that idea and do a bit of work before even considering a team. You need to have the designs,patents, and you may need to have a prototype if you can’t make one then you should consider a co founder that is a engineer. Idk 🤷♂️ yet either, ideas seem to not be enough to solidify you’re own standing in you’re own company

How would a new startup founder deal with his enemies from previous employer who took advantage of him, and is always trying to stabb his reputation? Founders who have those kinds of enemies struggle and need energy and efforts beyond what other founders invest. What are your take on that?

I'm building a Tech Company, Start up. What are some of the things to put in consideration? Do I have to give a few of them equity to retain talent?
@Startupsos2 жыл бұрын
Giving team member some equity is certainly a common way to help people feel that they have skin in the game and it may be something you have to do in order to. attract team members.
