Building a survival shelter in the woods with a subscriber. We will spend five days in the beautiful woods of Värmland, Sweden. In this video, we'll build a bushcraft shelter, cook food over the fire, review a pair of power socks and I'll teach Charlie the basics of survival.
In the next video, we'll build up a second shelter, clean water with stones and birch bark, and go on a walkabout in the area. This place is magical, it's located up the mountains in Western Värmland, 500m from our base camp you'll find the most amazing views. Stay tuned for that one!
👇👇Information about the POWESOCKS👇👇
From the maker:
Discover the comfort of socks, with the protection of shoes - 65% lighter than your running shoes. Just as tough. And a lot cheaper.
Ditch The Shoes... And Truly Connect With Nature
Do you remember the last time you ran barefoot in nature? (For example, into the ocean, or on the grass.) Feeling the ground under the feet, in every step you take - it’s how you truly connect with nature. It’s such a magical feeling. We want you to have it too. And that’s exactly what we kept in mind when designing the 2nd generation Powersocks. At 150g, it’s significantly lighter than most other shoes (including barefoot footwear).
Get “Armor” For Your Feet, So That You Can Roam Free
Thanks to our durable sole design, the Powersocks will be your trustworthy companion, protecting your feet from sharp edges and rugged stones, whether on the ground or in the water. As outdoorsy people, we designed Powersocks for people like us: runners, hikers, cyclists, water sporters and really anyone who wants to protect their feet without the bulk of usual shoes.
Ultra-Portable - Need extra footwear for your upcoming adventure? Discover the most portable footwear possible: socks that can be worn like shoes, so you can save space and travel lighter. (Powersocks are 150g, which is roughly the weight of two eggs.)
Specs:
DURABLE - 300 miles / 500km
2MM RUBBER SOLE - Made from natural rubber
QUICK-DRY - Knitted with 100% recycled CoolMax™ yarn.
(proven in lab tests to dry quicker and last longer)

Very good video. Mentally spent time by the fire. I would like to try out these socks. Adam tell me how you recorded the sound in this video ... I liked it. Two people were talking, but the sound was clear.

Thank you bro. It's great, calm and peaceful 🔥. I really enjoyed them actually, very liberating, I'm going to use them again. I recorded it with a BOYA microphone, and used "classic" sound on it. I'm not really happy with the microphone, it sounds like there is something in the background, like cars or wind. I have a new microphone but I'm waiting for a "microphone fot" for it.

Thank you John! The stones are there to make sure that I don't start any root fires and to make sure that the fire don't spread to the forest. I've started many root fires during exercises in the armed forces so I'm extra careful now. The fire could spread in the root system and start to burn far away, that can start a forest fire. Thank you for watching my friend 🙏🍺
