OK so I saw you were building in Sweden and thought, oh this will be cool and then it turns out you're building a house a TEN MIN DRIVE FROM WHERE I LIVE!! The beach, Ora, is my absolute favourite spot. The water is beautiful to swim in during the summer and the beach is always pretty quiet because, well, it's quiet up here 😄 gorgeous build as usual x

Oh this was an absolute delight! The only thing you forgot was a barbecue, none of us believe in god anymore, we find our salvation through half burnt burgers instead 😌 And the red color IS super common, especially up north. Since I am from up north, I personally find Moonwood Mill to be the most ‘at home’-world, but I’m guessing your reference image might be from the middle of Sweden? North of Stockholm, but south of Umeå? Multigenerational summer (and winter) houses are also very common, usually the main house was built first, but then other little cabins has been added on as time’s gone by, so in most of them there would be at least one bedroom in what we call the “big cabin”. Calling it the bedroom house wasn’t far off, we say the “sleep cabin”. The sleep cabins are often far more rustic than the big cabin, and a lot of them lack running water - you just go around the corner to do your wee’s. Some of my absolute fondest teenage memories are from sleeping cabins, we used to stay up all night playing cards and talking shit (lost my virginity in one as well, but that might be TMI 😂). Lastly, that exact checkered pillow exists in the every Swedish house there is. Genius. Great build, as always, and such a nostalgia trip. Thank you ❤️

Pretty much the whole of the island in Windenburg is Swedish houses in my game and I´m not even Swedish. 🤭You´ll probably never get to it or even want to, but you should definitely go to Google Streetview/earth in Griendtsveen, the Netherlands. Dutch architecture that isn´t your typical canal house at all. The entire village is a monument and not a single tourist even goes there. It´s bliss. 🤩

Happy to see a Swedish build!!! Looks great! The “bedroom house” is typically called a sovstuga which translates to “sleeping cabin”, and it’s very normal for especially summer houses to have a main house and one or more sovstugor! Typically because people begin with a lot with the main house and then expand through the years! Also a fun side note, one of the songs which played during the speed build part is the intro song (or very similar) used by a famous Swedish KZbinr who lives on a very picturesque Swedish farm, so good choice!

Just a little info here: "The natural pigment from the Falun mines gives the paint its unique look. Most traditional Swedish red paints are affected by sunlight, and red paints are particularly sensitive in this respect. But Falu Rödfärg retains its beautiful shade year after year." Love your Swedish cottage. I live just 15 mins over the ocean from Sweden, and have been there many times - you did really well! Very Swedish vibe. (Love the trellis there). And yes; I got my daily does of Aden - just what I needed to keep the peace in my heart.

as a northern norwegian person who has spent many summers in sweden, this feels very familiar and as always looks absolutely lovely! those bedrooms will be downright _freezing_ in winter without at least a radiator, though, but at least there are rugs everywhere so you don't immediately freeze your toes off lol! (unless you have the luxury of underfloor heating, that is... though that full drawer of 'ull lester' you've been gifted every winter since you were born should also suffice haha)

love this build. i am from denmark so when you build there i hope you look at some of the houses in odense and skagen. odense is a old city and the yellow house where hc anderson lived (H.C. Andersen Haven 1, 5000 Odense C) it is a typical danish style house from the past. i would love to see you build that. because it is a corner house that i really love. you might even be able to find HC aderson as a sim you can add for playtesting. also Nyhavn in cph witch has the famous row of houses in different colors. but our palaces is also amazing, really old red brick style. Roskilde is another amazing and old city known for Vikings and one of the oldest city in denmark.
