Develop inner resilience --- this is my main takeaway from this podcast episode. I agree, young professionals (like me) nowadays have some sort of mental fragility. Listening to these two inspiring leaders reminded me of the value of learning how to surpass emotional highs and lows: take a step back, breathe, calm down, and regain mental stability. Thank you, Rachel and Su Shan!

Rach, I’ve been loving your series and am learning much from the sharing. However, I do have a question - As a Christian (I believe that’s your faith unless I’ve misunderstood), where does God fit in all of your journey? Would love to hear more of your testimony about Christ, if you’re willing to share. Thanks!! ❤

Probably the first leader who talks in depth about how she balances her career with family - thanks for that and yes no one is perfect in everything!

Awesome interview! My hub used to work with Su Shan and I heard so much positive feedback about her. Key takeaways: As we walk in the direction of True North, we have to maintain our self awareness, as well as our spirit of curiosity and develop resilience. Rachel, your sharing has an inter-generational impact as I share your posts with my teenage daughter. Thank you for planting the seed of wisdom in the community. ❤

Wow!!! Lovely ladies climbing up mountains! My thoughts is old minded, is a man task! Appreciate the lady can do better job and reach that peak in this decade! I always think lady cannot do it, they got to born baby and bring up precious children to succeed them. Admire them, wonder there is any sacrifice,trade off, price tag or compromise but they put it very simple and make it to the top.

She will be recruited to join the PAP and will be a Minister soon.
@MeowIsNotaCatАй бұрын
from this interview, i don't see why not? we need more women leaders and possibly a better alternative to someone else who says we don't need a big space. PAP is losing it's lustre amongst the common crowd. There's something very grounded about her and it's a quality to have being in a ruling party. Disclaimer: I'm not a hardcore ruling party supporter lest the keyboard trolls awakes from under their mouldy bridges ;-)

She is getting a pay decrement if she becomes a minister actually.
@Abraham-uk4xy25 күн бұрын
@@zerocurry Yes initially. But they compensate by putting them on the boards of numerous GLCs and they can accumulate decent directors fees. So the deficit is not much. Say she has the potential to become the first lady Deputy Prime Minister then over.time the pay differential will be equaised.

Scared me for a moment with that B&W thumbnail with gold font characters. For a brief moment, I thought she passed away unexpectedly. Glad it’s nothing.
