Building A Tree Fort In Grizzly Bear Territory Day 13 of 30 Day Survival Challenge Canadian Rockies

This is the culmination of a lot of my plans coming together over the past 2 years. A year and a half ago I made a video called "bear safe hammocking 20 feet up" and it got over 1.5 million views. Mostly because everyone wanted to tell me im a bone head and bears can climb trees. I knew that would happen and i know bears can climb trees and i say that in the video at the end and explain my reasoning as to why this is safe. Mainly I don't see or hear about any bear attacks happening up trees. And my biggest concern is just being venerable on the ground. Maybe finding yourself in your hammock or tent with a mother on one side of you and a cub on the other side would most likely not go well. But just think about how many time hunters manage to sit in tree stand and take game without them knowing. And the Grizzly Bear although quit cabal of climbing dose not make a habit of it unless seriously provoked . What do you all think ? Is a tree for safe from bears ?

Cheek meat some of the best parts of the fish, some don't bother because it's so small. We eat them usually from larger fish like the trout, walleye etc.

Looks like the bark on the trees was damaged by a bear marking its territory and the tree repaired itself.

I think it could be from the tree freezing and cracking from the cold winters and then healing in the summer although not sure why its only the bottom. It could also be caused by some kind of tree disease perhaps .

I think it’s from the now that builds up over the winter. pretty sure it gets several feet high in the winter so that’s probably the level it gets to and the tree grows thicker bark there to protect itself
