I love it!!! I’m actually going along in the same journey of trying to grow a webflow agency as well. Good to see others along the early stages as well. Any videos on how and why you got started would be awesome to see, and also what you delegate versus taking on yourself. Also, out of the tasks, which do you LOVE to do, and what do hate. Cheers.

Thanks Darian. I will try my best to create a video along these lines. A lot of people ask me about it. Good luck on your own journey!

Glad I found this. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos. I found Webflow during lockdown and have been chipping away at learning for about a year now. Now I wanna buckle down and really learn and build a portfolio. I work in marketing and think Webflow will be the ultimate addition to my skillset for my career. Good luck, looking forward to following along.

Thank's Dimitrios, I am very luck to live where I am at the moment :) Where are you based in the world?
@dimitrisqq
@dimitrisqq 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Harry, i'm based in Greece actually.. sun & sea are my elements I suppose, so i love everything about nature.. I'm not there yet but I have a question.. In many cases, i have seen agencies asking the client's budget ranging from 500 to 10K £ /€ . How did you come up with a (semi?!) fixed price? How does this work exactly? Would a 'premium' agency deliver something with 1K budget? If not, why there is an option in some of the agencies websites dropdown. If yes, would it be of lesser quality?
@HarryRoperMckay
@HarryRoperMckay 3 жыл бұрын
@@dimitrisqq Hi Dimitrios, happy to answer these. Sometimes agencies will put the 1k option as a validation technique. If a prospect selects it then you know they are a waste of time and concerned about the money rather than the result. My pricing is determined on 3 things. How much its costs to have a designer design the site. How much it costs to have a developer to dev the site and how much it costs to have me manage it. I also then throw in our profit margin on top which is 30%. Although this price is good right now as I expand the agency I will push the price up to 10k so that we can take a larger profit but also be able to afford additional staff like QA, project manager and motion designer per project. So if you want to work out your own pricing figure these 3 things out: 1. How much would it cost for you to make the project with a team you find online or local to you. 2. Decide on a profit margin. Add 20-30% on top of that price. 3. Look at the top agencies in your area. What are they charging? If they dont say on the website send them an email and ask how much a website will cost to be made by them ;) I hope this helps!

I actually got my first project (I am a freelancer) and I am pretty excited to see how you are going to establish this agency. Looking forward in seeing your success! And one question can I know how much you charge your clients for a site of 3 or 4 pages with a bit of CMS components?

Hi Ujjwall thanks for the support looking forward to share with you. A landing page starts at £3,000. Multiple pages and CMS start at £5,500. Hope that helps

Man I am so excited to follow your journey! I think this video was great to show your daily stuff. As a suggestion, I think your video, would benefit from adding a bit of structure to your message. "building a webflow agency 0-100k" is a bit broad and missing some context given the video :) Cheers!

Hey Quentin that is a really valuable comment. If you were to change the title to something different what would you call it? 🙂
@gambino59
@gambino59 3 жыл бұрын
@@HarryRoperMckay Hey Harry! I think the title is good and catchy! But it feels a wee bit disconnected from the content of the video. For example, you show an onboarding process, vlogging, a style guide, insight into clients' conversation, morning meditation, and so on. While this is super cool to see, when I clicked on the title I thought I would see some overview or a plan on how you're building your webflow agency. I realized after watching that it was your first video too, so I would have loved to get an idea of your story and why you decided to do that :) Thanks for asking for feedback, I'm really excited to see where this channel is going!!

Hey Harry, just found your content and insta subscribed. Tbh I can't even imaging charging the kind of prices some of you guys are charging for a website. I have a normal day job in the NHS and learning and working for with Webflow is a breeze (even the Advance Webflow stuff like CMS and FinSweet library). I just can't imaging charging what I make in a month of NHS work for a single website (~3k). Either we are under paid in the publically funded healthcare system or charges for a website are too high - I really don't know how to process this... In anycase liking the content and hopefully one of your videos walks us through what goes into making a 3, 5, 7k site
@HarryRoperMckay
@HarryRoperMckay 2 жыл бұрын
Great question Ragulan and I will add your video idea to my list. Most of the time it comes down to what value you are creating for the client. If I can see that they will make 10-15k extra a year from our work asking for 25-35% of that as a one-time payment isn't too hard a sale.

Great video Harry and good luck on your journey! In the video you showcase an e-commerce site.... are you are building that using Webflows native ecomm? If so I'd love to know your thought on this part of the platform, if not what are you using instead and how are you integrating? (Liked and subscribed)

Hi Nick. We love the webflw ecom platform even though its quite new still and lacking features. Honestly its great for really basic stuff but anything more complex in terms of advanced ecom features it defo falls short.
