Great video! Here are a few questions: 1. What are your criteria for "what's needed" when you think about what you would need and what the client already has ready to use? 2. How do you figure out what's needed before you plan the website? 3. If you could make a video about investigating the market, I think that would be really valuable. When you search on Google, you combine the service with the local area, and then look at the competitor websites that rank well? What happens then? Do you audit the sites to see what info each of them has? Do you use these as a way to come up with a design?

1) I think you are referring to content here - I just look at what would be best to have for selling (as best as possible) and what the budget allows. My main restriction is budget - the more I have the more I can do but I have to stay profitable so there are restrictions. "Whats needed" will change for every job, depends on what I think is best for that particular business, at that time, with their goals in mind. 2) I first start with research and questions and then go from there. I don't come in with a plan in mind - I always start fresh and investigate what should work best. 3) Cool, and good idea. Ill look into to doing one of these. Thanks Daniel.

How do you price doing the website development, the marketing, and the creative content? Is all one package or do you separate them when charging your client.

I’ve looked into tab managers ect but need more into organizing all the contact information, and I obtained in an organized format. I hope that makes sense. Thanks! I guess what I’m looking for is a way web creators organize their computers and desktop dashboard, etc..

Do I have to create a new wordpress account for each client and how does it work if im using the pro version of elementor does each client have to purchase elementor pro for their site? I use webflow so I'm able to create, manage and host all of my websites from a single account (or transfer an entire website to clients personal webflow account if needed), not sure how it works on WordPress.

Hi. Nice video. I'd like some advice plz. I learnt the basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery. Now I want to start Freelance Web Design for small local businesses using WordPress. I will start using Google Maps to find clients who have no Website or with bad Website's. Then offer to build them a new Website, charge a set-up fee and then charge monthly to cover the cost of hosting, domain name, maintenance and so forth as a means to get regular income. I am confused and thinking of taking advantage of the Black Friday sale to get the DIVI Wordpress Theme and Builder for 1 year and get a refund within 30 days if I'm unhappy. But I am not sure, I need some solid advice. Is this a good business idea? Will DIVI be enough for small local businesses that want a Mobile Responsive Website? Are the Website Packs enough that DIVI offers? I also want to start some Niche Blogs then monetize them after bringing them traffic. But I am worried that these WordPress Page Builders such as DIVI have major flaws, I don't want to be in a position where I can't finish websites or they stop working or have major flaws. I just don't know the limits of what I can and can not do, I'm nervous and just want real serious advice to move forward. So what do you think? I'd appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Set goals first. Improve visits to the business by x amount etc...this is key as if you come across a client has no goals for their site then run.

Hi Rob, thank you for sharing, I always come away with a lot of great information from your videos. The question is: can you go into a little more about exactly how you bring value to their business? Do you have an SEO strategy in place? Do you have a plan in place that can measure how much more traffic they get as a direct result form your service?
@FoxWebSchool5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Daren, Ill try to cover all this in next week's video as I start the coding process and making the site.

Love your vids. Been subscribed for a bit but have been hesitant about finding clients on my own. I'm a web developer for my 9-5 job but have been looking to earn some extra income by building sites on the weekends for clients around town. I have 2 main concerns. I can build a site and make it look really sleek and modern but I don't have experience with SEO or boosting their rankings. How do you go about this with new clients? Do u improve their seo rankings with each site you build? It's looking like i may have to start learning SEO in order to start selling sites on the side. Lastly, how do you let clients preview the site. Do you just take a screenshot or do you have the site located at a sub domain of the main domain to serve as a preview and then switch the site files to main domain when it is approved by the client? Those 2 things have been blocking me from taking the plunge. Let me know your insight when you get a chance. Thanks!

This is what came to mind when you mentioned assets 🍑🍑 😂😂😂 Joking aside, I like the concept of being creative. It's the best advice ever, whatever the situation you find yourself in. I think one of the problems that people who are working online have is not knowing what resources that are available to them. Anyway, as usual, nice video, Rob.

The eccommerce business name I want to use has not been registered/trademarked by anyone BUT someone has created a website/domain using the name. So does that mean I cannot use that name for my business anymore?
@infinite_content98504 жыл бұрын
You should be able to trademark it. Then that company thats using the domain will need to give up the domain name, or change it. Otherwise you can sue them, or charge royalties of some sort. U could even sell them the name i guess if they really wanted to keep it 🤷🏾♀️

Hello, I wanted to join your web design course tried sending an email to your email but received a failure notification Hence asking those questions here. Hope you would not mind that. 1. It states course is a live course and start from Feb 11. Shall I enroll now or wait for next semester? 2. It states live course, so how many people would be there and what if I wanted to ask 1-on1 questions and doubts? 3. Is that a generic course module or do you take individual issues and problems and help solve those? 4. This question might be silly but still, I would like to ask, are those pre-recorded videos that I will be watching or will it all be all live? 5. So I will have access to 1 video every week? Let me know.
