Hey. Double the floors first so your seams are facing down from the wall. Water won't go under it. poly walls with inside corners separately. don't use a big piece. the neg air is going to make it balloon in. (staples or not). Put a ceiling in instead of patching between the floor joists above you. easier to wipe down, as wood is porous and can hold a fiber.

I am an experienced asbestos project designer/supervisor and trainer. I really enjoyed your video and admired your hands on workshop. This would have been a perfect video if the students would have set up critical barriers around the entire area before installing the floors. Then they could have installed the floors to create a water tight basin in the entire area.

When performing knife work, always wear type five cut gloves and cut away from yourself. Also using a self retracting blade can help prevent incidents. 6:15 - 6:37 please be careful!

I went to menards on July 14 2018 and bought beautiful vinyl tile from designers image brand and when I came back home and was getting ready to install. I read the instructions in the back and it says that this product may contain asbestos or silica. Now I’m trying to do some search on this vinyl tile and I can’t find nothing I’m honestly getting ready to return it back to the store.

How long should the negative pressure fan be working at home? Do they have to be 24/7? the problem is I cant sleep with that noise and they said the project will last at least two weeks. I live in 1630sqft condo. Thanks

A magnehelic gauge is usually used to check for negative pressure. I’ve never seen smoke tests used in the field. The containments are usually too big.

Good comments - all workers do have physicals fit test pulmonary function.
@bobperson85963 жыл бұрын
I noticed almost all of these comments are complete minutia. The only real problem I see here is that your air scrubber (informally known as a negative air machine) should be opposite from your decon so that you pull air through your workspace, pulling the contaminants to your filtration. Putting it next to the decon doesn’t help a whole hell of a lot, unless it has a zipper on it and you have a vent hole somewhere else
@beatemdown16022 жыл бұрын
No, they did it right.. instead of them putting the negative air unit inside the work area they cut a square into the plastic. As long as the tubes are connected and put out the window , there’s no violation here

Be careful training your guys with respirators on without them being medically evaluated. If a guy passes out, you will be held liable. Without medical clearance, they should be trained without the filters. A lot of these guys were wearing the repirators incorrectly.
