Made on also from baltic birch. Took mine one step further and made a backrest with foam rubber/arctic vinyl. Really enjoy making my own stuff which is much better than anything you could buy. Making it custom to fit your needs. Well done.

Very nice looks amazing You can also use a lock on the outside latches so you don't need the center one, just saying might be more comfortable for a passenger

Very nice & functional project. Some may say over kill, cheaper to buy one but as a now 35 year self employed retired trim carpenter I appreciate your craftsmanship & clean shop. Sometimes the joy & satisfaction of building your own projects out weigh the thoughts of buying them. Could you tell us what brand bed liner you used. The finish looks nice & I like the recessed area on the rear. Very nice job well done. Thanks for sharing.

I have to say, I was originally not going to watch this, but WOW!!! You are the dad that would have the little boy in the boy scouts with the derby car racer and you'd make it at home. Congrats, sir, and my subscription to your channel is due to your knowledge, your diligence, your camera and editing work, and your keeping it flowing... EXCELLENT JOB... Thanks man! If it wasn’t for KZbin I wouldn’t have the shop and all the tools. When I started woodworking I didn’t have any tools. I was borrowing my friends tools. And I didn’t have a shop.

Just curious how it's held up? Are the seams cracking/splitting? I want to make a small front cooler, but was afraid after while (year or so) it would just start falling apart.

Wes, congrats ... No doubt the best diy 4wheeler box I've seen done on KZbin ... well done sir ... your craftsmanship is impressive. I'm with Mark King below, interested in knowing how it has held up after use ... anything you would do differently now?
@WesHamstra4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s been over a year since I’ve made it and it’s held up well. I am going to be switching out the latches for something different. The ones I used rattle a lot. I am sure if i were to flip the quad it would be all splinters

@Wes Hamstra Great build, any updates 3yrs after on how it held up? I'm looking to build one and wonder what the best glue would be to use to stand up to the vibration it will see. Thanks for sharing!
@WesHamstra2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It is holding up well. I have been on ton of trips with it. Holding up perfectly. I have not tipped it over or rolled it yet. I am half expecting it to fall apart if that were to happen.

It was not scripted or edited so I didn't mention you or your channel. I'm working on editing all of that now.
