I can't believe you got THAT much, in such a small case! awesome job, Adam! seriously, there is NO excuse, not to carry the basics (at least) in your car. this video proves that space does not have to be an issue! again, great job!

On my locking pliers I removed the bolt and replaced with an eyebolt. That way you can clamp something and tie off with bank line or para cord. It's like having an extra set of hands. A must in my kit. Thanks and God Bless

As noted, just tighten up the Allen wrenches. I have two sets similar to yours... A metric and standard. They were clever enough to have metric retainers on the standard and vice versa for just this situation. Also I really like the addition of the vise grips. This kit is a lot more streamlined than the original.

Nice tool kit. I also built one and I will make some changes to it as I see fit. I'll need to add a allen wrench set to my kit.I saw that I needed that after watching your video.

Let me tell you, I use that headlamp for fishing and it is constantly getting wet, but it has yet to fail me! probably can't dunk the thing, but it definitely works!

Nice tool kit. I have that exact headlamp, and I've used one every day at work on my hard-hat, and another every night to read by in bed. They haven't given me one problem, and they were nice and inexpensive. Also I would suggest using #12 solid wire instead of the stranded that is in there now. The solid has way more uses. Peace.

Great kit. I would add a little magnet on a telescoping pole. If you drop a bit or a nut someplace its really handy to have. Great video

A lot of buildings/businesses have the handles removed on their outside spigots, a Silcock key is handy for getting water from them in urban areas. Even if it`s just the middle of the night, and you need water for your overheating vehicle.

Add: paper for notes, small mirror to see around corners and tight places, non-latex gloves - put those in the mesh pouch first and they will conform to the bag. Small ultra-light mesh bag to contain parts while you are working and magnifying glass/Fresnel lens.

Think the improvements cover a lot of holes I saw in the original, I would suggest a couple popsicle sticks to make mixing and applying the JB Weld easier. Other than that the fact you can use a screwdriver and pliers at the same time over rides those wanting a multi-tool, as that is the main flaw with a muti-tool being able to use one tool at a time. The idea of WD-40 pen or some lubricant is a must.

To help cut down on your kit there is an adapter out there, though I can't think of the name for it. It sits on the tip of your Alan wrench and you can plug in your variable screw head tips to it. Though not as useful for your micro driver heads, I've seen them magnetized so you don't have to worry about dropping either head or adapter. Just a thought

1. Get a Victorinox mini screwdriver to screw into the corkscrew of your SAK. Perfect for working on glasses and no additional space required 2. I'd replace the headlamp with a Petzl e+Lite: probably smaller with IPX-8 3. Wrap the paracord around the handle with a Solomon Bar weave - frees space and you have paracord with you. 4. As suggested before: a Leatherman bit kit is small, and can take some punch, though it is not for use with the heaviest duties.

I will say coming from an automotive background that if you were to actually need your adjustable wrench for use on your car you'll either A) wish you had a socket set or B) should have called AA instead. It can replace regular wrenches, but there are plenty of small 1/4" and 3/8" socket sets that are inexpensive and are only slightly larger than that case. I use one every day and I'm glad I have one.

I have 3 suggestions 1, maybe switch the jb weld out for the jb weld quick stick so you wont have the mess of mixing it or worry about the tube getting s whole in it 2. Maybe switch the para cord out like you said maybe with bank line or my favorite is the Kevlar string I know you can get it pretty reasonable if you look around 3. a good sail needle for repairs using your cord if you must.

Adam: You can save a significant amount of weight and bulk by exchanging the bits and allen wrenches you've got for the Leatherman "flat" bit kit. They work in regular 1/4" hex drivers.

-Change out the Headlight for the Petzl e+lite. It is much smaller and lighter and costs only about 20€. -Change out the allen wrenches for the Leatherman Bit kit plus a Victorinox or Topeak ratchet. The bit kit will also come with some flathead and philipsheaded screwdrivers. -Change out the pliers for a Victorinox Spirit. -Wrap the prybar with some gutted paracord to improve grip on the handle. -

Get a Leatherman wave with the bit kit, and you can get rid of the following: Adjustable Swiss army knife vice grips pry bar Needle nose pliers Alan wrench set Micro driver This will free up tons of space so you can throw in a mini first aid kit or fire starting accessories, with some bug spray and sun tan lotion packets/wipes. Also get a pen light instead of the head lamp if you want to free up even more space! Duct tape is priceless. You can also wrap some duct tape around an old gift card.

Hey Adam, how about some extra batteries for the headlamp? If not, it may be a good idea to store the batteries in the pouch separate from the headlamp so that it doesn't accidentally turn on and waste the battery life. -Chris

Fold a bandana and stuff it under the net on the front, or some handy wipes. My kit has a 3' tape measure, or you could use a measuring tape for sewing. Wrap some ranger bands on stuff.

Very nice little EDC kit. I liked the mini crow bar especially. What are the JB Weld tubes? Is it like a two part epoxy cement? If yes, that's a brilliant idea, never thought of that before. Good job.

Imo as a mechanic, crescent wrench, 2 normal screwdrivers 1 flat 1 star, and a pair of pliers is all i think would be a must as far as tools. i don't see a need for all the bits tbh and imo i would want a normal handle, those bits love to fall out in my experience.all the cord, tape is one of those its nice to have but not needed.

Hi There, Great Video, one thing I would suggest is a better adjustable spanner, Bahco make a 6" adjustable with a reversible side so it can be a miniature stilson wrench also, its a bahco 9070p and is the best adjustable spanner on the market, Bahco actually invented it.

Fuse puller, and fuses , a second 4in adjustable wrench. If you need to take off a bolt And nut ya need 2. I had the most handy slip joint pliers but my tool bag some how got water in the bottom and they are no good now but they where 3in long and probably 40 years old super light and thin.

I would ask you a simple question, when was the last time you USED that carabiner driver to turn a screw? You need a screwdriver with a longer shaft that is closer to a regular driver and the best I've found is a Klien 10 fold. Look on Amazon. It will accommodate almost all of your needs with the bits it comes with and if you want, you can still use your 1/4" bits by using a 1/4" bit extension to hold them. It might even replace your hex key set...

Automobile Kit: I'd add a ATM Mini Blade Fuse Tester/Puller and spare fuses, replace the screwdrivers with the Klein Tools Hex Screwdriver/Nut Driver or GearWrench 6" Screwdriver and use either screwdriver or hex bits or the Leatherman Bit Kit, a magnetic bit holder (for a longer screwdriver), Streamlight Stylus Pro in addition to the headlight, a HK1 Hydrokinetic Adjustable Wrench (or 2)to replace the adjustable wrench, and a Husky 1/4 in. Drive Socket Set 19-Piece $4.88 (Home Depot).

Id rather just some pliers instead of the Victorinox Spirit. The pliers are also electric insulated and the Victorinox Spirit would add more bulk. That allen wrench kit will have more allen key sizes plus the keys are longer incase the nut is in a hard to reach place that the ones you suggested couldnt reach plus he already has a bit kit that has those screwdriver bits. The added width wouldnt let it slip in the elsatic pouch as easy plus you could just use the bottom of your shirt.

If your tool kit is for working on computers then you should be just fine, otherwise your tools are too small for fixing pretty much anything on a car. Scale up. Thanks for all your videos, you're an asset to all. btw-your kit would also work well for weapons repair.

I have a tire gauge in vehicle, but have found don't need it hardly, an heres why. I filled tires up to their spec an than looked at how much side wall I had, an bulge.. did this loaded an unloaded. just keep looking at tires when getting gas an you'll know when to add air. an as a benefit without wasting time you'll be seeing the shape of your tires also. seems simple, you would be surprise how accurate this is. small channellockst o use on hose clamps an a host of other task. better gripping

I didn't read all the posts but you can get the WD40 pens at "Bed, Bath & Beyond" (great excuse to use on the wife or girlfriend) they're $2pc. I just bought a bunch for me, my dad & brothers today. So if any1 was wondering you can go their. They also have a lot of great stuff in their "Travel Size" section. Everything is $2 or less. Instant ice packs, single Icy Hot patches, toilet paper, wet wipes, etc... Also most smart phones take an external 16gb micro SD card so if you wanted you could put an SD card, micro SD card, the compatible thumb drive U can get for the SD card or even just a thumb drive in the net area. I have a ton of "How 2's" on mine along with some other non pertinent information like music/movies, etc.... I appreciate all the tips I get from this community so hopefully now I've given something back......
