So familiar, my son and I work the same way building together. We're always bouncing ideas off each other. I leave drawings all over the place that depict designs and visualize assembly processes. And we do everything, starting with original design, from digging footers to roofing and everything in between, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. So yeah it's heartwarming to see the love and respect you two share. You didn't show that side as much during the hurricane cleanup. Of course everyone's mind was blown at that time. Of course we don't HAVE to spend our time helping our kids (and grandkids in our case) but it brings great joy and a feeling of unity which is all important. You'll understand better if you get blessed with a little Drew and/or Brittany. That was fun and creative what you did with the camera clips on Nelson's backhoe.

Eucalyptus once dried makes fantastic firewood for cooking and heating. But it needs to be split whilst still fresh and then stacked for at best a full season. Once fully dried it will burn for ages and burns better than oak. If you want to keep those bags of clay as a powder keep them dry. Otherwise if they get wet they will become a nice soft and malleable clay. Probably good enough to make into plates and bowls.

Just a strong suggestion when you are working with steel tube and you're creating bolt up joints you never want to use a bolt to clamp on both sides of the tube the way you're doing it because what will happen is as the wind flexes that roof it'll slowly start to cave in the side of the tubing and then the boat will become loose if you watch the video you can clearly see as you tightened some of the joints you already started to cave in your tubing a simple fix for that you oversized the whole you drill and then buy a piece of steel tube slightly bigger than the diameter of your Bolt and you cut a piece of that tube and put it in your hole preventing your Square Tubing from crushing or you can get a piece of of wood like a 2x4 and cut that to side inside the tube and drill through it to prevent the tube from crushing and allowing the bolts to become loose

Love to see that you’ve cut down the eucalyptus trees…We are in Chile and have the same problem. This said….if the stump and roots are still in the ground…I have to burst your bubble but you will see these trees start growing within the next few months. Here a tree that has been cut down within 6 months there is already about 4 feet of multiple branches starting on the stump of the tree….no wonder why they are s everywhere and they soak up almost all of your water and the oil they produce is highly flammable. Good job today on the mill. Hugs from Chile.

if you have extra foam panels left it might be a good ideal to put them on before installing the tin, it will keep the tin from heating up to much, condensation control and help with sound reduction when it rains. And if you ever close it in later it just one less thing you will have to do..

You have a lot of faith in the weight of the container being alle to carry all Wind-driven uplift forces, and i do believe that faith is unfounded. The container only weighs 2,5 - 3,5 tons and that may not be sufficient for the uplift forces….make some anchors into the ground…..and strength in your type of construction come from triangles in corners.

Hey Drew ... to make it a bit easier for you here my experience ... to pre drill measure the cross cutting edge from the target drill bit and take the next higher drill bit you have ... for example a 10mm drill bit has about 2.7mm so take a 3mm drill bit .... you'll be much faster ...
