Dustin, to prevent the bread from burning, use a reflective pan. The dark pan will soak up more heat and reflect that back on to the bread. The loaf looked amazing. But y'all are heathens! Where was the butter? How does one eat fresh baked bread, straight from fire WITHOUT BUTTER? I'm kidding, y'all.

Now that Gandalf and Radaghast have finished their wizardry on the exterior, I wonder what sort of magic they will come up with to equal that mystical and natural looking house. A home like this deserves a lovely front garden and maybe some sort of wooden tiled path?

AMAZING! Well done, I've been watching for a while, since the "Fort". It has inspired me. When lockdown started, I thought, What shall I do? The answer was Build a Den in our woods. We needed a new bushcraft shelter, so I built a wooden "short" viking longhouse. It's shiplapped larch on an A frame. Has a slate hearth. They are the local materials, in Wales! Yet to overnight in it, but have cooked up some amazing feasts over the fire, untilising my take on Dustin's Meat Copter! Thanks so much for your inspiration, your channels are great, and essential viewing! Richard

When you first start to cook the bread let the outer pan get hot while covered, then add 1/4 cup of water into the outside pot to create steam, recover it quickly to retain the steam to prevent burning of the bread. Saw this trick on a Julia Child episode of the French Chef.

Well done guys I've been a subscriber for some time and watched all of your fort videos and project builds to date. This roundhouse build has been very interesting, I may be a biker and petrol head but I love the idea of simple living and living with nature. I think this combined build has been the best yet and definitely shows what can be achieved with simple tools and woodsman skills. Yourself and Duncan must be super proud of your achievements.
