So… I’m work in the construction as an inspector with primary focus on waterproofing…your craftsmanship and the quality of materials you use FAR EXCEEDS the residential new home builds I inspect daily. I’d take this tiny home over any of the site built homes I’ve walked and inspected. I have never left a job site with less than three red tags…new construction today is sadly (mostly - not all) garbage done with crappy low grade building materials. Beautiful!

hey drew, i dont have a clue if you will read this but, as a former stonemason i have some advice for you! when laying silicone, spray a bit of watered down dish soap on your finger and the silicone. it wont stick to your finger at all and you can get it off with a scraper tool if you have one, alternatively your finger works fine too. here in germany where i worked, we use acrylic scrapers with two differend end side widths (rounded off) and theyre only about 2-3€ per piece, may be worth investing. anyways, good luck with your shoulder, and have a great time bringing enjoyment to millions of people

This is how you know Drew kind of figures this stuff out as he goes. Having to pull off all of that siding to put in the vent for the toilet because he didn't decide ahead of time to use the incinerating toilet. And having that opening on the outside for electrical that he didn't end up using and just removed and covered. And that's part of why this is cool. Drew isn't hiding what he overlooked. Drew builds the way you should. Its meticulous, detailed, and careful. Its the difference between something getting done at 80% vs it being 100%. That extra effort does take more time, but the finished product is going to be so much cleaner and well done. This is how I like to work, even though its way slower. It drives me nuts to see people spending all the money on higher end materials, just to slap it up and have it look sloppy. For someone with OCD like me, I would be bothered every time I saw a flaw in what I built.
