Ive seen many tilers when I was working on a building site, some leave a big mess after they finished, and expect the site to clean it up, and some like Stan take a pride in what they do, and do the job with no mess. I hope Stan gets a lot of work, Thanks for the videos from UK.

I like to use small tile for shower floors. Nothing bigger than 2x2. All the grout joints help provide traction for wet feet.

That's one of the best-looking showers I've ever seen or done. I'm a retired tile setter, so I've seen a few. Your material choices are beautiful. I love the new materials for tile setting, especially for shower installations. I've done a lot of full mud shower pans. These new materials make life a lot easier.

Amazing! ... Every time I tune in I'm just in aw at this place you are building. I remember when you were first planning this and trying to find contractors before taking it on yourself. I never imagined this project would be so big and gorgeous. ... And good news, it seems wood is starting to show signs of normal costs. Hopefully prices continue to fall and you guys can get the exterior finished before heavy winter sets in. Stay blessed and healthy!

Stan the Magical Tile Man certainly does some fine work! We also used the Schluter system for our ensuite shower. Just goes to show that great minds think alike. I prefer the way you did yours though. We have a step up into our shower but if this system had been available when we built we would have done the same. So much easier! Looks great!

I'm enjoying the journey of watching this house being built. It's satisfying when you see it all come together. I think it is great that you're just being yourselves. You get ideas just like anyone. They may seem great at first, but then realize it doesn't work. Better to accept that, change course and move on in the direction that is best for you. What works for some doesn't work for everyone.

This goes into my saved videos. I was told when looking to redo my shower that I couldn’t do 1) curbless with a centered drain and 2) larger tiles on the shower floor because of the slope needed. This was an eye opener. Thanks to Stan!

I do enjoy your videos regularly, and I must say that I think that this video showed the real you.....so relaxed and quite funny! So happy I found your channel. Beautiful tile work and seeing this made me more comfortable with the zero entry shower design. Loved the detail on the shower drain. One design item to keep in mind with shower niche placement is they tend to look ‘messy’ when used for there intended purpose-keeping all those shower bottles, etc in one place. A lot of designers advocate putting the niche on the shower wall you can’t see when you first enter the bathroom. That shower bottle mess is hidden and the shower looks much cleaner/tidier. If you want impact on the shower wall you do see when entering, you can incorporate a tile design. Beautiful home, thanks for letting us experience your journey.
