OMG, I just have to take a moment before watching the heart of this video and say I was there back when y'all first moved. I can't believe it has been this long already one hand and yet on the other hand it feels like forever for y'all to get to the point you are now. I cut my teeth for YT through this channel. I found y'all when I was looking for canning videos and Jamie's videos were my go to for deciding which other videos even knew what they were talking about or for validation of methods used. The videos literally became my canning bible for awhile. But, then I learned that I could subscribe and follow a story. A journey. At that time it was a homesteading journey or self reliance or even prepping all of which I was just starting my journey on. I learned how to choose my hens and to care for them from Jamie as well. And you, dude, I've always enjoyed your projects and explanations for the things y'all were trying to do and have done. I'm so honored to have been part of this journey of y'all's and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you've chosen to share. My fingers are still crossed for Christmas in the new house. 😉

Three years ago I was working for Lowes. We were an experimental store for the contract delivery system. They went through three different companies in four months because of all the customer complaints. Every morning the drivers would show up and you could smell the pot aroma on them. They would break or damage items and say that is how they got it from us. It got so bad we started taking pictures of everything loaded on the truck as proof things were not damaged. One of the reasons I left Lowes is because corporate made it clear they only cared about making money and not good customer support.

great stuff!..... watched your channel for three yrs now (is that right???)....anyway, the thoroughness of your planning is exemplary!....good luck with everything!......one thing, if i may...i am a retired chef, 42 yrs. in the biz.....on the island, i see a potential trip hazard, at the ends, on the bottom, where the kick plate extends, on the side facing the sink...your working along, and muscle memory sets in, and you turn to put something in the oven or walk to the dining room, and boom!...there is a stop that your feet weren't expecting!....may be nothing, but jus' sayin'!....cabinets look great, and your assembly and install were full of helpful tips and tricks and timesavers!....

The house is turning out beautiful. The kitchen looks great and I love the layout. I wondered if there is any advantage to having drawers inside a cabinet with doors vs. just having drawers, or if this is an aesthetic thing. In my old house I had drawers inside cabinets with doors but at our current house I just have drawers. Both ways look fine to me.

You are lucky they even still deliver there. We live in knoxville. Lowes will not deliver within the same month and will no longer let you know when your order is in for you to go pick it up yourself either. Basically around here, Lowes is no longer an option for appliances unless you are a contractor and can order what you need a month and a half before hand.

Yeah, The Great Resignation continues. Finding help, good or not, is very difficult so a lot of folks are trying third part vendors. I expect Lowe’s will have to go back to hiring their own folks but they’ll have to learn the lesson first. In my business, I’m getting quotes good for 15 days and promising delivery in 90 days. Ouch!
