I swear if we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all lately. On Christmas Eve the temperatures dropped below freezing across most of the Eastern US, causing power outages, rolling blackouts, frozen pipes and other weather damage. Our Grundfos deep water well pump stopped working once again so we were without water for almost 10 days. Fortunately none of our pipes froze since we built a nicely insulated well house, but we have had to replace this pump twice in the 4 years since we drilled this new well. I'm beginning to think the quality of Grundfos well pumps are not what they used to be. We're thankful for the crew at Blue Ridge Water Works in Boone, NC for once again pulling the 440 feet of well pipe and once again replacing this well pump. You never realize how much you take your water system for granted, until you have no water.
