When can we expect consistent, permanent Close Call Replay?

I think they opted NOT to renew with Close Call Replay and are using "in house" people to do it.

We asked the questions, we cant force him to not give corporate answers. But at least we went straight to them. We didnt make major assumptions. Its up to the viewers whether they want to believe it.

This guy and pardoe on Twitter constantly want to beat their chests about valuation and “revenue” but never say what their expenses are.

The Pickleball TV broadcast has a long way to go in being on par with other professional sports. Half the time the scores are incorrect for a start.

The absolute worst is when the commentators start an interview or otherwise keep yapping during play. Or the replay is split screen with the next point going on!

When you watch Pickleball TV look at the high end paid ads. Very few, mostly Amazon product ads repeated over and over again

Call it what you want. The fact is if they couldn't get the bridge loan they wouldn't have enough operating cash for the season or they wouldn't secure a bridge loan.. Is this unusal for startups? No.. I like how he bailed when Jimmy pushed the question whether Pardoe should be on X personally taking shots at a person's pickleball skills... We all know the answer to that is no.. He should be above that as head of PPA.. And Tyler of course an MLP team is only worth what someone will pay for it... No different then any other sports franchise.. Any house Jimmie writes a mortgage for is only worth what someone will pay for it.. How the world turns..😊

I love watching pro pickleball, but with so much player trading in MLP it is hard to be excited about any particular team or even keep track of who’s on which team. It seems like they were switching up weekly. Also, the way it is aired, it’s difficult keep track of standings, etc. Over time, I lost interest and stopped watching. Just one data point as a viewer.

Totally agree. I cant keep following who goes where every season after draft time. I'm not that dedicated with the pro tour. PPA is enough for me.
@zaf78194 күн бұрын
Agree completely. How do you root for a home team that has to give up 25-100% (think Miami) of its players every year, in addition to the roster changes you referenced all year long? How many MLP team starters at the start of the 2024 season will still be starters on the same 2025 MLP team? I bet the percentage is pretty dismal. Is MLP just expecting fans to root for a team name? Actually, the team name is irrelevant-it’s the players we tune in to watch, no matter what team they’re on.

I don’t think he instilled much confidence in investors. He spoke about the upside but clearly ignored the costs associated with the tour. He clearly is not obligated to say anything about it, but he didn’t exactly disprove anything. He is correct bridge loans happen with start ups, but start ups are also very risky with 99% failing.

“people gravitate towards people and $” and “people gravitate away from people and greed” I be gravitating away … just hope the growth in recreational pickleball has nothing to do with pro pickleball. Actually, you two would probably be the one’s to ask the question: “Does pro pickleball help the recreational player, and if so, in what ways”? Hope that question was high IQ enough. 😉
@lonkrantz20383 күн бұрын
MLP is lame. I would much rather watch the best teams compete. There is no regional connection being made. PPA is more intriguing to most views. MLP is watering down the product.

They certainly don't help themselves with their terrible takes and lack of real world knowledge for how business works. Tyler is a trust fund kid who just happens to play pickleball.

@@fredsilverstine2183Tell me how business works please. What am I missing? I actually would sincerely love to hear your take on this. Always trying to learn. We have multiple billionaires not only invested in UPA, but actively involved, some of the most successful businessman maybe ever. You are saying Jill is smarter than them? Thats where I get my info. Not Pardoe, Or anyone who works for UPA. But guys who have millions to lose if this doesn’t work. They didnt bat an eye at the bridge loan. So should the fans be worried?
@JimmyMiller_PB4 күн бұрын
@jorge did you listen to Jills pod? She admitted “I did not do thorough research”, “Not something I have personally researched” “I am just being semi-thorough” And unfortunately her take on the state of UPA showed that. She made major leaps and assumptions. Like stating the 501k views from Fox could be from impressions. Maybe upa counts impressions on other things, but you cant fake Fox views. Or when she said she knows amateur registrations have dropped because now she can find a practice court. Hard hitting research there. Could be that some events are now spread out over a week. Instead of 3 days. Which spreads out amateur events. Again, i have no issue with Jill, “breaking news” but the crazy leaps and assumptions were a lot.
