I trained with Robby at golds gym in the 70’s and witnessed him on the preacher bench as built a third peak on his biceps. Please understand if don’t isolate the biceps from your body you will never develop a great peak. Genetics only plays a small part you still must work your butt off. This is why people never become a champion because they think they know everything. I’ve lived it for 49 years.

Tony,genetics is very important imo...and its also hard to tell which guys have this gift... some guys have incredible frames,while others have incredible recuperation abilities,then some have the abilities to train very focused and get incredible mind muscle connections... their are many more ways genetics can help an athlete. The thing is very few people that have the potential to be incredible bodybuilders ever bothered to even lift weights at all... Also some guys that got at the top may have used drugs for many years while others were natural or took only a small amount and were just as good or better... so many variables...At almost 64 now and 50 plus years training the most important thing is staying healthy for me,but yes we all want to look good also and certain exercises and diets can get best results like you explain.

Peaks of the bicep are genetic. You can improve, but you can’t have a Robbie peak unless you’re born like that. Just like Dorian yates calves :)

Just found this channel. Loving it. Love that you don't argue with the subjects, just listen and do as you're told and allow them to explain their version of things. And you're not all talk. You actually do the training with them like a client. Briliant. So helpful to see you making the sort of mistakes I would make and have Tony correct you. Much more helpful than just watching him do it by himslef. Brilliant! Great to get the input from people who have lived it. Not armchair experts. Very refreshing. Keep going mate. Excellent stuff. And thx Tony for your calm helpful advice. No macho bullshit and over heavy crap. 🙏

The peak is genetic, that first curl has zero weight at peak contraction at the top of the curl, you can’t build something if you don’t have the same insertions
@greekjeff2 жыл бұрын
@@motorhead4870 You are correct.I can’t believe Pearson is spreading this falsehood.
@andypicken78482 жыл бұрын
Motorhead. You are correct. Once that forearm goes vertical there is very little tension on the bicep. Max ccontraction will take place at maximum resistance which will be when the forearm is horizontal. Tony is right about being mindfull of the weight its all about creating max resistance with minimum weight and was a great shape he has

only way you get a super peak is to have short biceps like Tony... Tony most likely had the same peak when he flexed his arm at 12 years of age ,just smaller and less ripped...This being said. this exercise seems awesome for hitting biceps the way to add as much peak as your genetics will allow...

What a load of rubbish…as soon as the weight goes vertical with the wrist and elbow the load is transferred to the joints and NOT the MUSCLE…Tony got a good peak but not from those standing db curls
@ScreamingEagleFTW2 жыл бұрын
he isnt just standing there with the weight vertical, he is still turning his wrist inward which is where the peak comes from. Look deeper my friend, be grateful you have someone like Tony to show us details because thats where the gains are and thats what separates two guys with great genetics. The little things makes the big differences.

No. Excentrical weight going down builds more muscle.
@seanroyle6362 жыл бұрын
@@ScreamingEagleFTW contracting the peak is not what I'm saying Mr golden eagle, as soon as the weight goes above both joints the movement is worthless, no stress on the muscle whatsoever...do you dig !!! And would you believe the weight doesn't even need to go that far towards the shoulder for you to supinate the biceps...only meaningful point of Tony's method is the mind over muscle approach...other that it's no extra benefit, look it up !!!
