This is a great tutorial! I’m only using 2 cabinets and working on getting the hinges on now. Almost done!

I made a cabinet like this. what I learned was you need to make a plywood base for the wheels to attach. The shelves will break apart under the weight of the cabinet. I had to redo all the units when mine broke.

That's awful! I hope my cabinet is alright with the bookcase brand I bought and the wood base I screwed the castors to. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I can wait to see your project too.

Peel and stick wallpaper rather then paint is great for changing the backer board look

What size castor wheels should I get?
@SimplyJellyJam9 ай бұрын
Hi! I used 2 inch wheels, and it worked well for me. I highly recommend getting castors with locks so the cabinet doesn't move with a bump or while you're opening and closing the "doors." I hope this helps!

That's the first thing I thought of. No way that cheap chip board from Mainstay would hold up on those castor wheels like that. Especially not for my sewing machine and all the other heavy stuff I'd be storing in there. Definitely would need a strong plyboard base. But other than that, this is a really good custom craft cabinet that's not too expensive and doesn't require a whole shop of special tools or anything like that that I don't have in order to build it. Thanks to the girl and her dad for the good idea! 😊

The plywood base backing has been helpful, especially the few times I've moved the cabinet. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

I was thinking the same thing I may put a wood base to attach the wheels to and the shelves to that
@SimplyJellyJam2 жыл бұрын
@@Vegaswink702 Yeah. I didn't trust the thin backing. Wood would be sturdier!
